"Thank you so much!"

We waved goodbye to the magic thread shop owner. Indigo had spun all the magic thread he needed, so we were off to meet the person who could convert the magic thread into magic cloth. Eda had recommended him, and he was extremely competent at his job.

"This is a very rare material. This will take a lot of effort, but I should have it done by the end of the day. I know what tailor you're talking about, so I will bring the cloth to her when I am done. Please just pay now, and rest assured."

I paid him the silver he asked for, and we headed back to the tailor to take measurements.

"Hello!" I greeted. "We're finally back, and the man said that he will deliver the cloth by evening."

"I think I know who you're talking about. Yes, he is very good at his job. Do you need me to take measurements on your handsome friend here?"

"That would be much appreciated."

The shop owner quickly took out her tape and began measuring every angle of Indigo's body. She was very hands on with the whole affair, which made Indigo slightly nervous.

"There. It's all set. Just have to wait for the fabric to arrive, and I should be able to get it done by tomorrow morning."

"Wait," I interjected. "I have a design that would look amazing on Indigo."

"Oh. Do tell."

The shop owner and I walked into the back room, and I took out a piece of paper and began sketching. After nodding, she took out her pen and began making her own adjustments.

An hour had passed, and we were finally done with the design. We walked out, and I handed the picture to Indigo.

"Do you like it?"

"Yeah, that'd be sick."

Indigo returned the paper to the shop owner as she happily bounced back into room. We headed back to the inn and anxiously waited for morning to arrive.

Indigo and I headed towards the tailor's shop. Eda, Welst and Rojeel headed off to purchase some supplies for the group, since we would be heading off for one last day trip before the wave hit.

As we approached the shop, the shop owner was already waiting outside, proudly waving her masterpiece around.

"Oh, you're here? See what I made!"

The garment was absolutely breathtaking. It was a long, light blue cross-collar robe, closely resembling the ceremonial garbs of ancient East Asia, that reached all the way down to the feet. The lengthy, loose-fitting wide cut sleeves were light green, with runic patterns on the bottom. A yellow coat covered most of the garment, notably excluding the middle of the chest, that reached the belt made of thick, orange fabric. It even had slits to put the wings through.

"This is exactly what we wanted. How much will it cost us?"

"This would normally cost over a hundred silver due to the sheer amount of fabric involved, but since he is so damn handsome, I'll give you a 20 percent discount. How about 80 silver?"

"Deal." I handed her the money.

"Thank you so much!" Indigo exclaimed as he grabbed the garments and rushed into the store to change. She was even nice enough to include a pair of underclothes for Indigo. Guess being handsome does help a lot.

As Indigo walked out of the store, many passersby stood and gawked at him. He truly did look amazing in these robes.

"Indigo, let's head back to the inn."

"Alright."

While we were walking back, I suddenly had an idea.

"Indigo, let's go to the smithy and get you a weapon."

"Sure thing!"

We headed to the blacksmith where Naofumi and I went on our first day out. The man kindly greeted us.

"Hey! Are you Naofumi' s friend, the bow hero?"

"Yeah, I am. This here is my friend Indigo, and he's a filolial that can transform into a human. Got any weapon suggestions for him?"

"Hmm. He certainly is dressed different. I got a few suggestions for him. Come with me."

We browsed through the large selection of weapons, from swords to spears to bows, but Indigo wasn't interested in anyone.

"What's that over there?" Indigo suddenly blurted.

I turned my gaze to where Indigo was pointing to. In the very back of the store, hidden behind a great assortment of other weapons, lay a halberd. It looked like it was of pretty good quality, and I must have overlooked it.

Indigo ran over there and picked up the halberd, swinging it from side to side.

"Satoshi, can I please have this?"

That halberd looked pretty expensive, but since I spent so much money on Indigo today, might as well dish out some more. Indigo being more powerful would certainly help out in the long term, so this would be a sound investment.

"How much would this cost?"

"This would be around 75 silver." The blacksmith, who earlier introduced himself as Erhard, replied. "Halberds aren't in the highest demand, so this one has been hard to sell. Pity though, it is truly a great weapon in the right hands."

"We'll take it."

Indigo happily trotted alongside me, spinning his halberd at an extremely rapid speed. My wallet was almost empty, so hopefully we won't need to spend any more money before the wave. After defeating it, the king would certainly reward us for our work.

Indigo and I returned to the inn. The other three were already done shopping, and the supplies took up the better half of the room. Bags and bags of food lay strewn about.

Indigo and I moved the bags aside and laid down on the cold, hardwood floor. He quickly fell asleep and began snoring lightly.

There were only 4 days before the wave hit. We would have to make the most of our remaining time. I was confident in our party's abilities, since I had already reached level 48, Indigo was somewhere in the 30s, and the rest of my party members were around that as well.

So far, out of my 4 power up methods, the only one I'd been able to use was Job Level. I couldn't find an opportunity to use the others, but the one I had been able to use has done wonders for me.

After moving most of the bags on the floor to the corner of the room, I plopped down on the floor and fell asleep.

Chapter 16 out tomorrow. It's wave time!
