"(y/n), no, i can't, it's just too dangerous" argued Sonic. Usually cool about things, he appeared as if he really couldn't disagree with you more.

"please Sonic, i can handle it!" you argued back. you and Sonic were childhood friends and now you wanted to join his team but he really didn't want you to.

"i said no"

"but why? because i'm a girl?" 

"no, i just don't want you to" he sighed and sat down.

"please just tell me why" you pleaded as you sat down beside the blue blur.

"i just think it's too dangerous for you. i care about you and don't want you to get hurt"

you blushed when he said this to you. you never knew he felt this way.

"Sonic"

"yeah, i know, i'm being a jerk"

"no, wait, that's actually pretty sweet, but i can take care of myself, believe me" you smiled softly as he slowly turned to look at you.

"(y/n), do you really want to join the team?"

"of course i would! it would be an honour to save the world, and i'd love to work beside you all day"

"gee, uh, thanks, i think" he rubbed his neck awkwardly.

"Sonic, do you like me?"

he started blushing. "of course i like you! i like all my friends!"

"yeah, but do you 'like' me?"

"thanks" you smiled as you embraced the hedgehog. he smiled back and you both then kissed.

"(y/n)" he whispered. "do you REALLY want to join the team?"

"yes"
