Tails pov: Now we, all Sonic's friends know about his roboticization, i think it's fair that his parents should know too. I don't know why he hasn't told them yet? It's definitely not cos he's shy, cos that is so not him, but maybe he was putting it off? Whatever the reason, they're gonna find out now.

"Hedgehog residence" A female voice on the other end said.

"Hey, it's Tails here, Sonic's friend" The young fox smiled and twirled the phone cord around as he started his conversation. He didn't really want to make time for small talk, but he started off with his usual politeness, how are you and all that, before he eventually got to the point of this phone call. He was a smart kid and had an idea of what to expect, but maybe not this. He told his friend's mother about all that had happened to her son and how he had to be turned into a robot to save his life and she listened in horror.

"WHAT?!?!?" She screamed through the phone, almost bursting the poor fox's eardrums. The scream was so loud that everyone in the other room heard and came running to see what it was.

"Yo, Tails, whats going on, little buddy?" Sonic asked with a raised eyebrow as the fox started sweating a little.

"Well" He rubbed the back of his neck as he held out the phone. "I think it's better you find out yourself"

"Sonic? Is that you?" Asked his mother in a worried voice.

Sonic's eyes widened. "Mom? What's going on?"

"Never mind that, you've been robiticized??"

Sonic shot a look at Tails, who awkwardly grinned and waved back. "Yeah, mom, it happened last week, but I'm alright, i swear"

Sonic explained to her everything that had happened and how he felt about being roboticized and his new life, made of metal instead of flesh, and she listened to him, hanging onto every word and taking it in like a sponge.

His mom decided that she needed to see him immediately to see if he was alright, but next week was all she could manage, and so she, along with her husband, and his brother, the renowned scientist, Sonic's uncle Chuck were on their way to see how he was doing. It would be good for him to see them, as his dad had also been roboticized and they could talk about how trying to adapt to their new lives has been.

A week later they arrived. You and Sonic were chilling together with a plate of chilli dogs. You went to pick up the last one, but he snatched it from you with his steely, cold, metallic hand, and devoured it.

"Hey? What gives?" You retorted. 

"Hey, i may be a robot now, but i still know a good chilli dog when i see one" He grinned.

"Uugh" You groaned humorously as you heard a knock at the door. "Hey? Who's that?" You asked as you answered it. You were greeted by Sonic's concerned family. "Mr hedgehog! Mrs hedgehog? What brings you here?"  You gasped when you saw who else was here. "Sir Charles?"

"That's me" He chuckled softly. "But you can just call me uncle Chuck" He smiled as he offered you his hand to shake.

"Oh, ok" You smiled back. You decided you rather liked this loveable older hedgehog.

"Oh, Sonic! So it's true!" Cried his mother as she rushed to greet her baby.

"Yeah, it is, mom" He answered awkwardly as he was a little embarrassed by her behaviour in front of you.

"So, are you getting used to the robot life yet, son?" Asked his dad, who knew all too well what it was like.

"Well, yeah, a little. Why don't you take a walk with me and we'll talk about it?" He offered.

"When you say walk, you had better mean one and not a run" His dad smiled as they left.

You were left talking to his uncle Chuck, as you asked him all about his inventions and and you couldn't thank him enough for the roboticizer. His mother asked about Sonic and how he was and you told her about how you you supported him through it all and she smiled as she listened to it all.

Meanwhile, Sonic was out with his dad, recalling the same tale. They were both glad of this talk because they didn't feel alone now and could relate to each other. He made no secret of how you had cared for and supported him through the whole thing.

"How'd your friends react to all this?" The hedgehog asked as he strolled and chatted softly, making sure to hear everything his son was saying.

"Oh, they were great. This has been crazy, all of it, but I'm glad I've got those guys looking out for me, especially (y/n)" A smile formed on his face as he thought of you and your love.

"(y/n)? Your girlfriend?" Asked Jules as he thought of you. He never actually talked to you much, but he thought you seemed nice. He didn't even realize just what a brick you were to Sonic.

"Yeah, i love her. I don't think i could've gotten through this without her, she's my best friend" He didn't even realise just how fortunate he was until he actually spoke of you and what you mean to him.

"I thought Tails was your best friend" Jules chuckled.

"Well yeah, he's my best buddy, my bro" He shrugged. "But (y/n) is...she's my soulmate"

They talked and talked with each other until they eventually turned to go home where you saw them both again. They talked for hours before it was turning dark outside and it was time for your visitors to go home.

"Bye, Sonic, see you later, son!" His dad waved as they all left for home.

"Take care" His uncle added.

"Yes, take care of yourself!" His mother said as she put his arms around him and planted a kiss on his face.

"Mom' He frowned and wiped the kiss off his cheek as she was embarrassing him in front of you.

You laughed and put your arms around him and hugged him as you watched his family leave.
