"Another chilli dog, babe?" Sonic offered with a grin.

"Don't mind if i do" You giggled as you took a bite. You were on a date with him and you both went to your favourite diner as you knew he didn't care for fancy stuff. He just liked to hang out with you casually. You were unaware that anyone was watching you, but you were receiving some unwanted bad looks from a certain pink hedgehog. 

That's right, Amy was here as well and she was gazing enviously at what you two had. She felt that it wasn't fair, after all her years of dedication to him and you just came along and snatched him away and she was salty about it. You didn't notice any of it though, but you would see soon enough just how she felt.

"Whew! Well that was just great!" Sonic smiled in contentment and patted his full stomach. "I'll get the bill" He kissed you as he got up.

"Thanks!" You smiled back as you sighed and thought dreamily of how much you loved him. This was when Amy decided to step in and make her move. She strolled past, but not before making eye contact with you.

"Oh, hey Amy!" You grinned pleasantly as you greeted her.

"Oh, (y/n)! I almost didn't see you there!" She lied.

"So, what brings you here?' You asked as you tried to make some polite conversation with her, unaware of her evil intentions.

"Well, the same reasons as everyone else i guess, the atmosphere, interior, and of course, the food, and what about you?" She asked with a sickly sweet smile.

"I'm on a date with Sonic. He's taking care of the bill"

"Sonic? You still don't know?" She gasped a fake gasp.

"Don't know what?" You asked the pink hedgehog, your curiosity now piqued.

"Oh, nothing, dear, i probably shouldn't have mentioned it" She said and started walking off.

"No, wait, what is it?" You grabbed her and desperately demanded the information.

"Nothing really it's just that" She looked around to make sure no one was listening. "He's only dating you because he feels sorry for you" She whispered.

You looked horrified. "What? No! He loves me!"

"That's just part of his charm" She sighed. "he secretly plans on dumping you one day, he's just being nice to you to make you feel good"

Tears started to run down your cheeks. I can't believe it" Your voice cracked as you said this.

"I know, it's terrible" She sighed as she put her hand on your shoulder in fake concern and shook her head. "But hey, maybe now you could find somebody better?"

"I don't want to" You sniffled"

"That's the spirit. Well, must dash!" She grinned and rushed off, glad that her wicked plan had succeded.

"Hey, (y/n), who was that you were talking to?" Sonic smiled and appeared.

"Oh, er, no one, is that the time? Sorry, I've gotta go" You got up and made a weak excuse to get away from him.

"Where are you going?" He asked in confusion, but you mumbled something and ran off. He scratched his head at this strange behaviour, but decided it was nothing and left you to it, but over the weeks, your behaviour had become stranger and stranger yet. You made the weirdest excuses to avoid him, you didn't want to meet him anywhere and even stopped answering his calls. All of this had him concerned and he decided to pay you a little visit to see what this was all about. You didn't want to see him as your self esteem had hit an all time low as you felt you weren't good enough for him. You heard a knock at the door and you got up hesitantly to answer it. You gasped as you saw the blue figure standing before you.

"Sonic!" Your eyes widened in horror as you caught sight of him and you could tell by the serious expression on his face that he meant business. "I'm afraid you've caught me at a bad time, i...uh...forgot to get groceries!" You lied. That was the best you could come up with.

"(y/n), I'm worried about you, i haven't seen you in ages and i feel we haven't been spending much time together lately"

"We haven't? Oh, i never noticed, I'm sure it's fine" You laughed nervously and tried to run off to avoid him, but he ran after you. "Oh boy" You groaned as you knew you were never gonna get away from him.

"(y/n)!" He cried. "I'm sick of this nonsense! Just tell me what's wrong with you! Look what you're doing to me!! Don't you love me anymore?" 

You whimpered a little and you burst into tears when he said this. "Of course i love you, Sonic! It's you who doesn't love me!" You sobbed.

"WHAT?!?" He exclaimed. "(y/n), that's not true! I love you! Who told you this?' He asked gravely, looking into your eyes.

"Amy said that you don't like me and that you only asked me out cos you felt sorry for me and how pathetic i am!"

He look stunned when you said this and then turned angry. "WHAT?!? That's not true! I don't know why she'd tell you that but it's a lie! I'm Sonic the hedgehog, do you think I'd date someone less than amazing?"

"No" you smiled as he hugged you.

"I gotta sort this out right now" He muttered. And boy, was Amy sorry when he did. As soon as he saw her, he caught and began his angry rant. "AMY! WHY DID YOU SAY ALL THAT TO POOR (Y/N)? WHAT THE HECK? WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?" He shouted and waved his hands on the air. This was too much for and she started crying.

"I'M SORRY!! I DIDN'T KNOW IT WOULD ESCELATE THIS FAR!!" SHE SOBBED.

"WHAT?!?! YOU MUST'VE HAD SOME KIND OF IDEA??"

"I WAS JEALOUS OF WHAT YOU TWO HAD!! I'M SO SORRY!" She wailed and ran off.

"I think that takes care of her" Sonic smirked and wiped the dirt off his hands to show he was finished.

"Thanks, Sonic" You smiled and threw your arms around him. You kissed him. You really missed doing that in the time you were apart.
