A week had passed since the tragedy had struck. Sonic was still pretty shook from what happened, but at least he had friends around him who cared, and most importantly, he had you by his side, supporting and caring for him all the time. You were all pretty horrified when you heard that the only way to save him was to roboticize him, but eventually all came to terms with it and you would all still accept him, even in his robot form.

They used his uncle Chuck's own invention, the roboticizer, to save him as it had many others, and now the transformation was complete and he was discharged from hospital.

"So, how do you feel, Sonic?" Asked his best bud, Tails as he leaned over the couch to greet him.

"A little strange? It's difficult getting used to this" He admitted and then ran in a circle across the room. "But at least i haven't lost any of my speed" He grinned as he tried to stay upbeat throughout it all.

You smiled as you admired his courage. "I bet you're stronger now, too"

"Still not as strong as me, though" Knuckles smirked and fistbumped him. "Hey, metal Sonic called" 

"He did?" Sonic turned around and looked at him with a strange expression.

"Yeah, he wants his identity back!" He said with a goofy grin, holding back laughter.

"Uugh" Amy groaned and rolled her eyes at his stupid joke. "Are you alright now, Sonic? You don't need anything?" She asked in a sweet voice.

"A little oil would hit the spot, right about now" He laughed and looked at Knuckles.

"Please tell me that's a joke" She sighed.

"I sure hope so" You said in concern.

"it can be difficult adjusting first, sugar, but you do get used to it after a while" Bunnie said softly as she showed her own robot parts. She knew the struggles of getting used to a life like this and the teasing that came with it, and so she knew exactly what he was going through.

"And it happened to your uncle Chuck as well, didn't it?" You asked your boyfriend.

"Yeah" He answered and nodded his head. "It was his invention, the roboticizer that saved my life. Actually, my dad was roboticized as well" He admitted.

"What, really?" You turned around and looked at him. You had known him all this time and you had no idea of this.

"Yeah!"

You sat down beside the blue hero and he put his metal arm around you and told you all about it. None of you noticed that Tails had slipped out of the room at this point as you all gathered round to listen to the story Sonic was telling. He was dialing a number on the phone.

"Talking of Sonic's dad, i think it's about time his parents knew..." He said quietly to himself as someone picked up on the other end. "Hello? Is this Jules the hedgehog?"
