"Oh, shut up, Mighty!" You giggled and slapped his hand away jokingly.

"What?" He laughed. You had been on a date together earlier and were now both in good spirits.

"So you actually think that you'd crush my hand if you held it?" You stood there and put your hands on your hips as you questioned him.

"Well" He shrugged. "I mean i guess it is a possibility"

"Well do you really want to put your theory to the test?" You raised your eyebrow as you asked him this.

"You sure you want to?"

"Yes! Of course!" You cried and grabbed his hand and squeezed.

"Woah!" He he marvelled and chuckled. "You're actually pretty strong yourself though. Not as strong as me though"

"Pffft, i bet Knuckles could beat you in a competition of strength though" You grinned and joked with your adorable boyfriend.

"Oh really?" He looked at you, his blue eyes twinkling as he crossed his arms.

Your fun and games came to a halt as you walked past a little village and you heard the sounds of screaming and terror and you both immediately knew what it was.

"Sounds like Eggman decided to drop by here for a visit" You remarked. Your assumption was correct as the narcissistic boomer was indeed troubling these innocent people.

"Well Eggman isn't a very good guest" Mighty snarled and pounded his fists together. "You stay here, (y/n)" He said softly and planted a kiss on your cheek before he leapt on some robots and obliterated them.

You stood and watched him from a distance. He never failed to impress you with all his strength, but also how he was so gentle and peaceful at the same time. He was a true hero, you thought as you swooned over him, keeping away from the robots.

"Still think Knuckles is stronger now?" He asked as bashed a few more bots.

"We'll see" You smiled, but as he was distracted, a crab bot made a grab for him and he tried to hit it, it had his arm and he couldn't reach with the other one. You gasped and you didn't know what to do, but you felt an adrenaline rush and so you rushed over to him and started beating up the robots to save him. You didn't know your own strength as when this happened, it actually brought something out in you that you didn't know you had, like it activated your inner power and you took full advantage of this and destroyed so many robots.

"No!" Yelled Eggman from the eggmobile. "How can this be? My whole army! Defeated by a nobody!"

This little patronizing comment from him just made you lose and Mighty just stood there and watched you in shock as you became more and more powerful. "Shut up, Eggface!" You shout and run and flew at him in your rage and roundhouse kicked the eggmobile, sending him flying for miles and shook the dust from your hands as savoured the sounds of him screaming as he flew off into the distance.

The villagers ran to you and Mighty and cheered for you two and thanked you two for saving them, but then your strength faded and you just realised what you did. Did you REALLY do all that? They offered you many handshakes and words of thanks, which you both graciously accepted, but when you both left, Mighty had a lot of questions for you.

"(y/n), Wha-what just happened there?" He threw his hands as he questioned you, but you really didn't know how to answer.

"I-i really have no idea, honestly" You told him honestly. If only you knew.

"It was like seeing me in danger triggered something. You should've seen yourself! You were amazing! I didn't realise you were so powerful!"

You blushed a bright red when he said this and you played with your hair a little. 

"You could join the resistance now! You'd be a great addition to the team!" He gasped at this idea and grabbed your shoulder.

Your eyes widened at the thought of this. You weren't sure you were ready to jump into the hero business like this, not without some training first. You didn't even know you had this power till now! "Uh, Mighty, I'm not sure" 

"Why not?" He asked and stared into your eyes, his own eyes wide.

"I don't know, I just don't feel I'm ready yet" You confessed and looked down.

He looked sad, but gave you a reassuring smile. "It's alright, (y/n). I'm not going to pressure you, it was just a suggestion, though it would be fun to have you on the team"

You looked at him and smiled. "Thanks Mighty" He had his arm around you as you walked and you felt happy right now.

"So, you seriously still think Knuckles is the strongest, huh?" He grinned.

"Hmm, we might have a new victor" 

"Yeah, me" He joked again and you nudged him and laughed. You really loved that armadillo.
