September 14th, 1566
Antonio managed to kill the cardinal de guise during his prayer by poisoning his wine and bread.
Now I had gotten rid of my enemies. Mary had no one to support and was now all alone at court.
I now felt like the most powerful woman at court. I had the love of the king. I had a healthy 2 year old son and a healthy 1 month old daughter.
But the title mistress-en-titre wasn't enough. Anyone could take that from me.
I had to be the official queen of France.
Yes, I was just like the queen now but that wasn't enough.
All I needed was my crown, Mary's crown. But I knew I couldn't get it as long as she was in the picture.
But i couldn't be her downfall.
So I have to find a way that will make her her own downfall.
Next chapter we'll go on for something like 2/4/6 (still in doubt. what do you think?) years.
I plan to make this book no more than 100 chapters. When there's more to write I'll make a follow-up book where we'll focus on the kids (Louis,Julien,Margaret, Charlotte and the rest of the characters I'll show you).
What do you hope will happen in the next ten chapters? I have both my plans but I could probably use some inspiration.
