The day before the wedding came and the palace was in turmoil. I spent my days with Mary, who was super nervous and excited for the wedding, and spent my nights alone in my room.
Mary had personally asked me to assist her during the wedding preparations, and even though she married the man I loved, I couldn't refuse.
Mary would marry Francis and I expected to hate her but I couldn't. She was too nice to hate and I started to appreciate our friendship more and more.
Francis I no longer spoke personally, but through Maximilian I received short messages. I didn't receive letters, but I didn't mind that much. It was probably for a good reason. If the king knew we were still "contact" he would be furious and we couldn't risk it given his temper.

"I feel like I could die any minute," Mary whimpered. She paced restlessly around the room as she fiddled with the long pearl necklace that hung around her neck. "That's unfortunate, especially since you're getting married tomorrow" I said teasingly "oh don't worry mary, everything will be fine. The wedding will be perfect and you will finally be a married woman"
Mary stopped pacing and sat down in a chair. "It's not just the wedding that worries me, but this whole alliance. There are many Scots who are against marriage, especially the Protestants. I'm afraid this will cause problems," she sighed.
I wanted to reassure her but didn't know what to say. I was not a queen and did not know what a heavy burden she carried on her shoulders.
Before I could even come up with an answer, there was a knock on the door. A guard entered the room and bowed, "I am here for the Lady Bianca, Your Majesty," said the guard. Mary nodded and I made a curtsy before joining the guard.
The guard said nothing as we walked through the halls. "Did the Queen ask about me?" I asked curiously, I didn't know who else would ask about me. He shook his head "the king".
I felt my heart skip a beat. What it was that the king would want to see me.
You will soon find out bianca.
