Jeremy's POV

The silver sedan that was parked out infront of my parents house was his car. How could I ever forget a car like that? And dont forget the police car that is parked directly infront of that.

I noticed that no one was standing outside, so they must all be inside.

What is going on? I havent seen or heard from him in years. And here he is. Showing up on my door step.

I looked at Abby. She was looking at me with curiosity in her eyes. "Do you want to go home?" I asked. Why didnt I just tell her that she can just come over another day? That I had to take care of family problems? No. For some reason I felt like I wanted her there. Like she was a support for me.

I guess she could see that in my expression because she looked at me and said, "Do you want me to go home Jeremy?"

I turned from her and looked back at the house.

That is when I noticed the curtain in the family room push aside and a sheen of light span across the lawn in the front yard. Teddy.

The look on his face was somber. Although he was a couple years younger than me, he was still old enough to know what was happening between Scott and mom. Hes not stupid.

I looked back at Abby. The look in her eyes was one of sympathy. And I caved in. I turned off the car and opened my door. When I reached the front of the car, I turned and waited for Abby to get to my side. I guided her up the steps and stopped at the door. I looked down at Abby. "Are you sure you want to see this?" I asked her.

She nodded. I sighed and opened the door.

"Hello Jeremy. Where have you been?"

Abby's POV

I had no idea who was parked out infront of his house. All I know is that a cop accompanied them. The look on Jeremys face was one of complete shock and saddness. I guess that means he knows who is here. My heart melted for him. I could see the pain in his eyes as he sat staring at the house. When the curtain pulled away from the window and Teddys face appeared in the window, I saw his face was sad as well. What is going on??

Jeremy looked at me, "Do you want to go home?"

I watched his expression. I could see that he kind of wanted me to say no and stay with him. Like he needed support. So I said, "Do you want me to go home Jeremy?"

He seemed content with my answer. He took another minute and sat in the car, but when he turned the car off and got out of the car, I followed. He placed his hand at my lower back, where I couldnt help but feel the warmth, and guided me to the steps of the house.

When we reached the door, he stopped and looked at me. I swear with how big his eyes were I felt like I could just fall in them. "Are you sure you want to see this?" I nodded, because I felt at a loss for words with the pain that laced his words.

He opened the door.

"Hello Jeremy. Where have you been?" Said a man sitting in a chair in the family room. A police officer was standing against the wall, looking kinda like he was bored, until he caught sight of us walking in the room. Then he tensed up.
