Chapter 15

"I was getting ready to leave my Daddy's bedside, On a Saturday evening. I needed to get back to the house and get ready for this Party Kelly had invited me too yesterday.

It was taking me so long to leave him because apart of me felt so guilty for leaving him. I whispered to him that this was going to be a one time thing as long as he laid in this hospital bed, not sure that he heard me but saying It made be feel better. I kissed his forehead, and was on my way.

It was going on 6, and I had no idea what I was going to wear. not that I really cared, I was just so over it and the whole party scene life but I gave Kels my word and I just didn't want to hear her mouth about it any more.

When I made it to my parents house I seen my mothers car, she told me she was working late at the Salon, so I was confused to why she was home. it wasn't a big deal, I just found it weird.

Going into the house my body ached a little bit, sitting in a chair for hours daily took a toll on my body, a hot bath would have been great, but a hot shower was going to have to do.

"Ma?!" I yelled walking into the house, none of the lights were on, but it was still a little light outside so it wasn't necessary.

When I didn't hear her respond I frowned, cause if she wasn't here. Why was her car here?.. I didn't even bother.

I went upstairs going straight to my room, i bombarded my suitcase to see if I had anything fitting for a damn club party, and I didn't. I looked through my old closet and seen a few summer dresses, those certainly wasn't the answer, especially not in no damn November.

I sighed in frustration, cause I felt like this was taking up to much of my time. I hardly even wanted to go to this damn party, so I surely wasn't about to stress over it. But I guess a lil black dress from forever21 wasn't to much of a hassle, something cheap and cute was going to have to do.

It was only a little after 6 so I had a little time, the Galleria closed at 9, Kels told me that she was going to get me by 8 because the party started at 9:30, but was a little while away from where we stayed.

I got back in my car and drove to the Galleria, on the way there i decided to give my mom a call to see where she was, Apparently her last client canceled on her, and my Aunt Karen met her back at our house, and they went somewhere in her car, leaving my moms. I told her my plans for the night so she wouldn't worry if I got back to late.

Getting to the Galleria of course it was crowded, like always. especially on a weekend. I sighed in annoyance, and walked with hopes of just hurrying up and getting this over with.

I went straight to Forever, and to the dresses. Not many were my style or even appealing. Fall was ending, and Winter was right around the corner. nothing was club material.

Just a lot of sweater and knitted dresses, I seen a few leather ones, but they looked way to cheap for my liking.

I walked around the store a little longer, and came in contact with some black leather leggings, they were actually really cute, and very price friendly.

I estimated my size with their weird numbers and took it off the rack. I wasn't about to try nothing on. I picked me up a nice earth tone tank, and the cutest burgundy suede cardigan, then I was on my way before I spent more than I could afford.

I had some nice shoes at the house, and if I didn't like mines, thankfully my mother and I wears the same shoe size & she's a shoe fanatic like I am, so I had more than a variety to choose from.

Leaving the Galleria it was just turning 7, and it was traffic. Sitting in traffic I couldn't help but to think of Jay. Really hoping he didn't show up at this Party. Of course I wanted to see him deep down but I didn't know if I could have handled the guilt.
