Chapter 16
"The ride was quiet for the most part, we just let the music feel the air. We arrived to the "40rtyF!VE" lounge about 20 minutes after leaving Jays house.
It was a new club lounge that was only up for a few months but extremely popular. Kels said her and Ty was talking about trying it out for weeks they heard a lot of different reviews and finally decided to give it a go when I finally decided to say yes to coming out with them.
The whole ride I felt Jay steal glances at me, but for the most of the ride he stayed on
his phone.
His personality was so nonchalant so you barely ever knew if something phased him or not. he was hard to read.
Considering our current relationship, we haven't talked nor seen eachother in almost two months until tonight. so it was no way if I would have known if he was feeling some type of way. I hate that I even cared.
I pushed the thought out of my head the best I could, it's not like it really mattered.
Going inside of the new club, it was quite a nice amount of people not too crowded thankfully but it wasn't empty neither. It had couches on one side, pool tables and TVs on another side of the club, it had a dance floor that barely had any people on it. It also had a mini stage.
It was a balcony that surrounded the inside perimeter of the club. they were all sitting booths. I guess this place was something like a restaurant too. It had to be, because walking in we were greeted by a hostess welcoming us to the "40rtyF!VE Lounge". She simply asked us were we going to be dining in or here for entertainment only.
"Isn't it all inclusive?!" Kels asked with a scrunched up face and all. This club had a weird concept.
"Um Yes. it can be if you pay for that package.." The hostess said.
"Package? why in the hell-... " Kels sighed in frustration. "You know what.. Tyrin please talk to her. everybody is getting on my damn nerves tonight, tonight is just ruined. I'm going outside" She ranted..
Everybody was embarrassed, It was actually pretty funny. Kels didn't care. tonight was long already for her, and this new club wasn't making it easier.
The hostess looked so scared, and Jay and Ty was smirking trying to keep from laughing, they apologized best they could for Kels outburst.
I followed her outside so I could try and calm her down.
"Kelly what is going on?" I asked chuckling, but serious.
"I'm tired Bey! damn! tonight is just not going to plan. the weather fucking sucks-.."
"Well it is November.." I chimed in but she ignored me
"Jay is here! which means your gonna be acting like a sour puss all night-.." She continued
"Am not!" I chimed in again, she was going to continue to rant but when I said that it caught her attention and She gave me a side eye.
"Bey don't play with me."
I laughed. "What?! Im not!" I said trying to convince her. "Don't look at me like that!" I said still laughing. Her faces she would create would have anybody on the floor from laughing.
She didn't let up in her knowing look. I rolled my eyes playfully and sighed. "I wanna talk to him but I don't want it to be awkward. I don't want to feel like he could careless, you know what I mean?"
She put her arm around my shoulder and we began to walk back toward the car. it was cold and people were starting to crowd outside the door.
"Boo, do you like Jay?!." She asked me simply. I looked at her like she was stupid. because what kind of question was that?
