I was wrong. That's what you say.
I admit to the throng.
Yet they accuse me of foul play.
Others did much worse,
Someone actually did use their fame.
Still more swear and curse.
I realize that it's just a game.
They are all after innocence.
They do not really want me back.
While I lived in blissfulness,
They planned the perfect attack.
Years passed and many seasons went.
I had but worked in vain.
Now I see their evil intent.
My loss is their gain.
What use is being happy?
What use is going insane?
They say I am slaphappy
My hometowns' bane.
If I go insane,
Will they cheer?
For I was once happy.
I was once austere.
What use is pure innocence?
What use is eternal happiness?
If they believe in a false insolence,
then I'll wallow in unhappiness.
Water up to my neck,
I find myself looking at my veneer.
Someone please come check
You all can now cheer.

Author's note: My poem against bullying, especially Cyber bullying. Basically, the story goes that a young man apologizes outline after people (falsely) call him names and he being raised a polite gentleman says sorry. He's crucified by an online mob as a result. Consequently, he's tired. (He does not end his life-the water up to his neck is a metaphor.)
Inspired by the story of a friend of a friend who was innocent and unfortunately took their lives as a result of online bullying...#stayingalive #lifeisworthliving (As well as the frustration of seeing a Japanese actor [who also was innocent] whom I saw his work recently only to find out he perished due to online mob harassment.) #stopbullying
