I dodged laughing as I did. What a fool morphing into the one thing I had grown used to hurting. She sent out her shadows in a wall as though trying to consume me. Laughing once more as I easily through up a fire wall burning the darkness to a crisp. It was then that I realized that Alexandria had been running toward me behind the wall. She stumbled straight into the fire. I quickly receded the flames but I wasn't swift enough I heard her shriek in pain.
My heart stopped for a brief moment. I yearned to go near her and make sure she was all right, but then she came at me full force her shadows wrapping around me and attacking me from all sides. Fire surged uo from me once more and in her moment of confusion I used the earth ti=o wraparound her. Encasing her up to her neck.
"No more, I'm done with this useless and rageful fight" I said as I picked up my bag. "Both of you" I started looking at Aaron and Terrin "make sure she doesn't continue this fitful rage. She could end up getting herself hurt". "Why do you keep doing this Ryia your only going to end up hurting yourself" Aaron said. At first I was so shocked I couldn't even hide the emotion from my face.
"That's why I keep doing this. For once I will be the only one I hurt" I said. At this point my coice sounded dead even to me. "Look around, Ryia does it look like your the only one your hurting" Terrin interupted, gesturing towards everyone there. I looked around Aaron and Terrin watching me with pained faces and Alexandria with a bruise fresh on her cheek. I smiled ever so slightly. "You don't understand what I mean yet and its my hope that you never will" I said.
With that I turned and started walking. I didn't run, there was no point they had horses a supply I no longer had, meaning if they wanted to catch me they could. With one look back at there shocked faces I summoned the earth to swallow me down. I had learned this trick in the last few months of camp. It was my favorite trick and though we were supposed to use it to travel I often used it to stay in the same spot just resting in the ground.
I could here them as they rushed to Alexandria. Sighing I made the earth that encased her fall away making sure she could get out safely. "Are you okay, Alex?" Terrin asked cautously. "Yes I'm fine thank you" she said. "You got burned earlier Alexandria you ought to be more carefull" Aaron said. "I can hold my own just fine, don't treat my like a child" Alexandria said.I could tell she was feeling a bit ruffled.
"I understand that you can fight well and all that but Alex you need to remeber that Ryia has been trained to take the lives of those whom lead armies and has been the best in our class since as long as I can remember. Now she has powers that have been training with proffesional instructors for a year to hieghten her already dangerous power. Now more than ever Ryia is a strong and immensly dangerous apponent" Terrinsaid his voice was ckear with worry.
"No more" I murmured to myself "I shouldn't force myself to listen to anymore". I then let the earth move me deeper and deeper in the woods hoping I'd get so lost that I wouldn't be able to find my way out even if I wished to. All I can do now is hope they don't use a tracking spell and hope Simon won't haunt my dreams tonight. As if I could be so lucky. I popped up into the forest and looked arround.
Spinning around I noticed that I didn't even know if I was in the same forest anymore. What a wonderful thought. I was in a small meddow nestled by a cliff side and the dark woods. I lay in the grass and looked at the sky the stars twinkled contently making my envy toward them grow beautiful admired by and never be troubled by mortal things like death and killings. I closed my eyes with only one thought in my head. How I wish I could be a star.
