We later found out that Ryia had assisted us in the battle. I was happy in a way, but I hoped that she wouldn't try to come back to the castle. I didn't want to see her ever again. "She thinks she can gain our trust back. After all she did? Hell no!" Said Terrin. I didn't respond. Aaron agreed with Terrin. I tried not to think about it. At least she helped, but I had better things to think about than her.

She burned me. She laughed at me and called me weak. She thinks she's so strong. She's not. Aaron and I stood on my balcony later that night. "Alexandria, I need to ask you something" he said. I nodded and said, "what is it?" He sighed. "Alexandria, you know I love you. But.....the wedding is soon" he said. Ugh, I had almost forgotten about Laithen.

I hadn't seen him in the last year, but we were still engaged. As far as I knew, the wedding was next month. "Father will delay it again. Their is war going on" I said. Aaron nodded. "But....when that time comes, what do we do?" Aaron asked. "Aaron...." I didn't finish my sentence. "I can't keep seeing you when your a married women" he said. "I'm not marrying him. I'll find a way out of this" I said. Aaron sighed. "I don't want to loose you" he said.

I moved close to him and kissed him. We wrapped our arms around each other. I couldn't loose him to Laithen, I just couldn't. "Aww, how sweet" said a voice. I quickly pulled away from Aaron and gasped at who was standing on my balcony. It was Simon. "What the hell are you doing here?!" I demanded. Simon laughed and said, "don't worry, I'm not actually here. I'm just a mirage".

"Simon" said a voice. Terrin stood at the entrance of the balcony. "Ah, Terrin. How is my dashing little brother today?" Simon asked. Simon flickered. So he was a mirage. "Why are you here?!" Terrin demanded. "Don't worry brother, I won't hurt your dearest friend Alexandria" Simon taunted. Terrin growled and said, "get out of here!" Simon laughed.

"What do you want?" I demanded. Simon faced me and said, "simply to wish you luck on the future battles. Trust me, you'll need it". "I don't need your luck, I know that Talahan will defeat you!" I said. Simon laughed. "I like your guts, and I'll also like to see them spilled on the floor" he said. Terrin growled.

"Well if that's all you want, then get out" Aaron said. Simon laughed again. "Alright then, I best be on my way". Terrin mumbled, "good riddance". Simon quickly faced me and said, "before I go, I'd like to say that I have a habit of reading people's minds. And I have found out that my little brother is DESPERATELY in love with you. Isn't that sweet?"

Terrin gasped as Simon faded away. I looked at Terrin and said, "is this true?" Terrin shook his head and said, "it's just another one of Simons stupid lies". I smiled and said, "I believe you, Terrin". Terrin smiled back. Simon wouldn't be coming back. And if he did, I would make sure he would be afraid to attack us again.
