"Alex, get back here!" Terrin demanded. I didn't listen. Simons army was just minutes away, and I wasn't going to hide like a coward this time. I had to fight. "You can't stop me!" I said as I got my weapons. "Alexandria, please. Stay here, for me" Aaron said. He sounded like he was begging for me to stay. "Aaron..." I didn't finish my sentence. "Alex, our job is to protect you. If you go into battle today, we aren't doing a very good job of that" said Terrin.

I sighed. Reluctantly, I put my weapons away. Aaron sighed and said, "thank you, Alexandria". "I'm only doing this for you" I responded. I walked with them into the place we hid in the last battle. We were silent for a long time. "Do you think Simon is here?" I asked. Terrin shrugged. "I don't know" Aaron said. I hesitated before asking, "where do you think Ryia is?"

"Who cares?" Terrin said. I didn't respond. Aaron sighed. "What's wrong?" I asked. Aaron looked at me and said, "what if we made her so upset that she teamed up with Simon?" "That's a silly thought. Ryia may be mad at us, but she wouldn't turn against her kingdom" I said. "This is her kingdom. She was raised in the assassins underworld. I wouldn't be surprised if she did team up with Simon" said Terrin.

"I don't know....it's just a stupid thought that's bugging me" Aaron said. I sighed. Did Ryia really team up with Simon? Ugh, who cares? After all the things she did to me, I should care less. I could still feel the burn marks on my back. But if I didn't care, then why was the thought of her teaming up with Simon bugging the hell out of me? I rested my head on the ground.

"You can rest on my shoulder if you'd like" Aaron said. "I think she'd much rather rest on your lap" Terrin said. I laughed and said, "shut up Terrin!" We all laughed as I rested my head on Aaron's shoulder. He put his arm around me. "Such disappointment in his eyes!" Said Terrin. We all laughed again.

We stayed there for hours. When would the battle end? Suddenly, we heard a knock at the door. Aaron and I stood up and opened it. It was a maid. "It's over your highness. Your safe to come out" she said. I nodded. The three of us came out of the small room. I prayed that the war would end soon.
