GEORGE POV:

George is looking at Rosie who's roaming around the racks with baby clothes. Once in a while she holds something up for him to see, and he nods or shakes his head to let her know if he likes it. He's been nodding at almost all the pieces, and he nods a little harder when she smiles while holding something up. Luna is playing with a stuffed elephant that Rosie gave her when she was about to get fuzzy again. "Alright we got some cute new outfits, we should probably buy some basics too though, don't you think? Like those onesies for babies, some socks and some leggings?" Rosie looks at him and he nods. She laughs, and George can't help but smile at her when he hears her laugh. He feels like a schoolboy. "You're just nodding along to everything I say! I could probably ask you to marry me now and you'd nod as well." He nods while smiling, before he catches himself, "I mean, I'm not marrying you now! I don't even know you that well yet..." Rosie just laughs while shaking her head and walks towards the basics for babies.

After making sure he has enough new basics, also in some bigger sizes in case she has a growth spurt out of nowhere again, they make their way over to the diaper, bottle, and dummy section. "Next time we're going shopping you should try and make a list; it will make it easier when you know what you need. Now we're maybe spending extra money that you didn't want to spend." Rosie tells him. He nods but doesn't comment on the fact that he has enough money, that'll be a story for another time.

After paying and putting the things in bags and in the stroller, they make their way towards the grocery store. "Do you live close by?" Rosie asks George. "Uhm, yeah kind of. I walked here with Luna but seeing the number of things we bought I'm not really sure how I'm going to carry the groceries as well..." he feels himself getting nervous again. 'What idiot goes shopping for so many things with just a stroller? Didn't mom mention that he should always bring his car if he's going to do bulk shopping?!' he blinks when he feels Rosie squeeze his arm. "Hey, it's okay. I was thinking, what if we buy all the groceries first. Then when we're outside, I take the bags with clothes and baby stuff. We can put the groceries in the stroller, and I'll just carry the bags to your place. It's not a bother so don't even start." He breathes out, maybe she's an actual angel? "Yeah, okay, uhm, if you really don't mind then... yes, please." She pats his hand while smiling and walks towards a cart before waving him over.

George is pointing at all the veggies he wants, and Rosie puts it all in the cart. After veggies it's on to fruit. "I should probably live as healthy as you do" she says when they have all the fruit he wants. He chuckles, "I don't really do it because it's my favourite thing to do, I would like to eat unhealthy sometimes as well, but I can't really afford that with my job." Rosie hums but doesn't ask further. George breaths out, she doesn't know what he does for a living, and he would like to keep it that way for now. If she knows how much he's in the public eye away from this neighbourhood, she probably wouldn't be that interested in him. They shop further in a comfortable silence, checking up on Luna who's still invested in playing with the elephant and looking at the lights at the ceiling. George pays for all the groceries, and they rearrange the stroller. Rosie has 3 bags on her arms now, but she smiles at him when he asks if she's sure about it. "You just focus on pushing your little girl, I'm fine. I know I may not look strong, but I have arm muscles!" he laughs softly, and her smile seems to grow, but that might be wishful thinking.

"If you don't mind me asking, where is Luna's mother?" Rosie softly asks. George hums, "we were together for a little while before we found out we were pregnant. We were both excited and wanted to make it work, after the shock of course. In the end she decided that she didn't want to be a mom and have a baby with me, and she left Luna in my care. I've not really spoken to her much since that day to be honest. She left our daughter and me that day, I don't know what else to say about it." George lets out a shaky breath when he thinks back to the phone call that changed his life.
