ROSIE POV:

It's been four days since she's met the handsome dad and Luna. He still hasn't texted, and if she's being honest, she thinks he never will. It makes her disappointed, which barely happens when a guy doesn't text her back. Most of the time she hopes they stop texting; it would mean she doesn't have to be the one that will ghost. But with this man it's different, he touched her heart with his nervous smiles, the love in his eyes when he looked at his daughter and his accent. He was to die for, and Rosie realised once more that she was fucked with a crush on someone she'll never see again. There isn't a lot of time to dwell on it though, because she needs to catch the bus to central London. Her best friend Tayla is waiting for her at their usual spot.

"Finally, you're here! I have so much to ask you!" Tayla exclaims when she sees Rosie walk into the café. They hug before sitting down. "What do you mean, you have so much to ask me?" Rosie asks confused. "Don't act like that! Why were you spotted with THE George Russell and his daughter!! The paparazzi usually leaves him alone when he's with her, but apparently a fan saw you two. It's a terrible quality photo, but I'd recognize you everywhere!" Tayla shoves her phone into Rosie's face, and she looks at the photo. It is her and the handsome dad, walking through the grocery store. "That's George Russell?" she asks, and Tayla looks at her confused. "Wait, you didn't know?" Rosie shakes her head, "I'll tell you what happened. So, I was at the usual café where I like to write..."

"I can't believe that you met him, held his child in your arms and cleaned his home. How does that happen? Didn't you ask what he does for a living or something?" Rosie shakes her head. "I didn't feel like it was needed if I'm honest, he looked really lost and I just wanted to help. He told me a bit about his ex-girlfriend leaving him with Luna. I didn't feel like it was that important to find out what he does for a living. I'm not sure why I didn't ask for his name to be honest. He'll tell me when he wants to, that's what I thought. But he still hasn't texted me though. I need to forget about him Tay, but the baby was so cute. She has the same blue eyes with long lashes as he does, it was like they cloned George, but as a girl!"

Rosie and Tayla catch up until it's time to go home again. "I really hope he texts you, but if he doesn't, he's a dick. If he can't see your worth after that day, he is probably blind!" Rosie smiles while she's being pulled into a tight hug. "I know, thanks Tay. 2 weeks from now, same spot?" Tayla nods and they hug again, before parting ways. "See you then Rose, love you!" "Love you too!"

GEORGE POV:

"Mate, I'm going to be really blunt now, yeah?" "You're always blunt Lan." "Shut up Alex. What I was about to say," George looks at his best friends who are laying on the ground with Luna in between them. She's playing with her feet on the matt and Lando and Alex are copying her moves, making her giggle. He shakes his head with a smile before focussing on Lando. "You should text her; she sounds unreal, I give you that, and I know you're worried about having a child and dating again, but what is the worst that could happen?! I mean she literally spent her whole day off shopping with you, for your daughter." George sighs. He knows Lando is right, but he can't shake off the nerves. He has typed 5 different messages already but didn't send one yet. He's a single dad in his early twenties, while also a racing driver who travels all around the world. Not really the catch of the day. He looks up when Alex sits next to him.

"Seriously mate, Lando is right. She sounds like an amazing woman, even if she doesn't want to date you, you can still be friends?" George scoffs, "as if I can be friends with someone like that! I was thinking about marriage already." He chuckles, "alright, but all jokes aside, what am I supposed to say? 'Hi, I have a massive crush on you please be mine.' I'm being all cool now, but the minute I see her I'm a stuttering mess." Lando and Alex laugh at that, "never thought we'd see the day where George loses his calm around a woman."
