GEORGE POV:
It's Wednesday morning and George is rushing around his house, trying to make sure that everything is packed for the race weekend in Italy. Luna is watching him in her play chair while her dad is running around. She giggles when he trips over the bag that's laying on the ground of the room. "Do you think that's funny?" he walks over towards her and starts tickling her, "do you think it's hilarious when daddy trips? Are you a bit of a meanie? I thought you were my little angel!" Her giggles fill up the room, and George's heart bursts with love for her. How did he ever get so lucky?
He has finally made sure everything he needs is packed, and he's cuddling Luna while they wait for Rosie. The last two weeks were spent with calling and facetiming every night, and whenever he was in England she'd come over to spend time with them. They had been on walks, to the playground, cooked together and shopped together. He trusted her, he did since the first time he saw her, but the past few weeks have shown him what kind of woman she is, and he knows that she'll take the best care of Luna.
They had not shared a kiss since the kiss in the kitchen two weeks ago, but he really wanted to do it again. There were some subtle touches, but he was too nervous to make an actual move. He still felt like she deserved so much more than a single dad with a job that made him travel around the world for the biggest part of the year. Alex and Lando had tried to talk those doubts out of his head every time they talked about it, but he was still so insecure. And it wasn't just about his heart that could be broken if it didn't work out, he had to think about his daughter as well. He sighs, and Luna's little hand tries to rub his face to comfort him. "Aren't you sweet? I love you so much, I'm going to miss you a lot," he presses little kisses to her face to hear her giggle again, "I'm going to facetime Rosie every moment I get so I can see your pretty face. I'm going to bring a trophy home for you, I promise."
Luna is on George's hip while he walks around the house, making sure he really has everything he needs, and that Rosie has everything she needs. "Okay, enough groceries, enough baby things for you," he says while stroking Luna's cheek, "I put fresh sheets on the bed so she can sleep close to you, I did the laundry for the most part, did I clean the bathroom? Shit. Did I? Sorry I cursed; I didn't mean to." He hurries towards the bathroom to see that he did, in fact, clean the bathroom. Luna is opening the buttons of his blue shirt while he walks downstairs again. "Are you trying to undress me? I can't leave without a shirt on Lunes." He chuckles. The doorbell rings at that exact moment, and George grunts. "Yes. Awesome timing! You're going to make daddy look like an idiot now sweetheart."
ROSIE POV:
Rosie is waiting outside George's house while carrying her bags with clothes and necessities. She hears him talk to Luna and she smiles. The last few weeks have been a dream, even though George stays nervous around her, he has been trying his hardest to open up to her and it's a lovely feeling to know that he wants to do that. Luna has been an angel most days, and even though Rosie is incredibly nervous about this weekend, she also feels a lot of excitement. She's pulled from her thoughts when George opens the door. Luna is on his hip, and she's opening the buttons of his shirt. George blushes when she lets her eyes trail over the exposed skin. "Hi, uhm, I guess Luna doesn't want me to leave... that's probably why she's trying to undress me." He chuckles while stepping further into his home so Rosie can come in. "It's alright, I don't mind." She says, before realizing how weird that sounds.
After George showed her where everything is, for the 1000th time, he hands Luna to her. "I'm going to put my bags in the car and then I'll come to say goodbye, okay?" she nods while stroking Luna's cheek and coos at her. She feels George's stare on them before he softly shakes his head while smiling. She wasn't really sure how he felt about her, there hadn't been a repeat of the kiss two weeks ago. She wanted to give him the time he needed, but on the other hand she was worried that he might feel like she wasn't into him. 'I should go in for a kiss on the cheek when he says goodbye' she muses to herself.
