ELEVEN: Laugh's & Frustrated?

(Time 2:30 p.m. Still Saturday.)

Emily Pearces (POV)

Just finishing up the table I hear silence after hearing so much talking and giggling, I am about to leave the kitchen when in walks Shannon and Gracie covered in paint looking like they just stepped out of an abstract canvas, and I cant help but burst into laughter holding my stomach. Looking back up again I cover my mouth before saying, Hi you two did you have fun painting? laughing under my breath I wrap my arms around myself to stop from bursting into laughter again or peeing myself. With a stupid smile on my face, I see Shannon just smile and shake her head saying, Just come to let you know we are going to clean up, we both need it. she arches an eyebrow and I giggle than slap my hand over my mouth and nod, she just blows hair out of her face saying, You know baby Gracie had so much fun I think she wants to give her aunty Em a hug for letting her paint such a wonderful picture. She looks down and whispers into Gracies ear when I hear a little giggle and see a smiling baby Gracie looking at me, I squeal raising my hands saying, I love you baby but no hugs ok dear yeah. She giggles and so does Shannon, I see her go to step forwarded and I squeal and laugh bolting behind the kitchen island saying, You two rainbows go clean up yeah, lunch is ready we dont want it to get cold do we.

At this Shannon pauses and so does Gracie in her arms and then they both pout and I cant help but giggle at how cute they both are together, Shannon smiles saying, You got lucky this time Miss Pearce because my baby and I are starving. Giggling I nod saying, Shoo now go get cleaned up dears. Gracie giggles and squeal when Shannon kisses her neck and bounces her as they leave the kitchen and I sigh leaning against the island feeling my legs go week. Laughing again I sigh, gosh I havent felt this good in a long time, I am so glad my baby niece found such a wonderful mommy. And the secrets that will be revealed I hope will make everything stronger and not weaker. Shaking I stand back up and go to the restroom downstairs needing to relieve myself because I laughed to much and this make me laugh more, giggling thinking this is a good thing yes, it is.

(Time Skip 9 p.m.)

Shannon Whelans (POV)

Abigail and Andy just left, and I couldnt have had a better day than today, Gracie is snuggled up with me on the couch and Emily is setting on the other end. We are halfway through Gracies favorite cartoon that I just found is Moana because of the little piggy and chicken on there, I mean the level of cuteness flowing off her the moment that poor chicken almost died when she burst into giggles was amazing. Emily has been great, and we have yet to talk about the West and Whelan family connection, but I will find out when I need to. Looking down at Gracie she Is half asleep curled up against me and I just cant help how much I have been smiling since we met. Kissing her forehead whispering, Time for bed baby you are so close just go ahead fall asleep sweetheart. She whimpers and looks up at me with half closed eyes and I smile kissing her nose saying, Ill see you when you wake up baby, yeah.

She scrunches up her nose than snuggles into me with her face shoved between my boobs and as close to me as she could get. I just chuckle lifting her up cradled against me I pat her bottom and rock her. the moment I stand she is completely out and I coo and kiss her forehead sighing, looking over at a relaxed and happy Emily saying, Im going to tuck her in, are you going to bed or staying up longer? she looks at her watch saying, I think I will call it a night as well seeing as all the excitement we had today I dont know how she will be tomorrow so we will see. we can talk in the morning about an arrangement, seeing as she still hasnt been her big self-long, I will be her proxy until she is if that is ok. I smile saying, That is a good idea and thank you for letting me stay, I dont think I could leave without her, and it hasnt even been a full forty-eight hours yet. She chuckles standing up and stretching saying, True, I am glad she has you now, but I cant let you take her from me. But I will respect how we sort things out, just let me know if you have ideas, I am open to anything as long as I am near or with her.
