Margret Whelans (POV)
We are half way home when my phone rings frowning, I get it out of my purse answering it saying, Margret Whelan speaking. Hearing loud noises and yelling in the background I frown more before hearing, Momma come to Meadowview theirs been a bombing. Feeling the blood drain from my face I yell out, WHA?! hearing crying now Gene whimpers out, Momma daddy is hurt, and Alec is in surgery. Whimpering looking up Andrew I sniffle saying, Andrew turn around go to Meadowview then once we get their call Davey theres been a bombing. Hearing gasps and whimpers I hold Emily closer to me and Lena who is sleeping as I look at my baby who has unshed tears in her eyes asking, Who momma? whimpering out, Your daddy and Alec baby thats all I know. Her face goes dark as she sniffles growling out, Faster Andrew I dont care about traffic laws right now.
Wiping her eyes, she cradles Gracelyn closer to her as I snuggle more into Emily saying, Everything is going to be ok baby he will be ok, they will be ok. Crying more I hear another ring and whimper as I watch Shannon struggle for her phone picking up, she growls out, What?! as I watch her face the blood drains fuller now and she covers her mouth crying more shaking her head before saying, We are on our way already Daddy and Alec was bombed too. Hearing this I cry more and so does Emily as Shannon puts her phone up, she looks at us saying, Kyle was getting the mail of their porch when a woman ran up telling him to throw the package saying it was a bomb but he, he wasnt quick enough and is in surgery now at Meadowview with severe burns and internal bleeding.
(Time 2:02 p.m. Meadowview Emergency Entrance.)
Shannon Whelans (POV)
Feeling the car come to a stop just as I finish telling mom and Emily about Kyle, I sniffle wiping my eyes as my door opens cradling Gracie closer, I climb out of the car then wait for mom, Lena, and Emily. We all make our way inside as mom runs up asking for dad, Alec, and Kyle, kissing my baby girls head I whimper as they direct us to a waiting room as we arrive, I spot a distraught Blake and quiet Caiden along with a quiet and in shock Gene. Crying I walk up Blake first hugging him sideways kissing his cheek as mom, Lena and Emily go straight for Gene. Kissing Blakes cheek I sniffle asking, What happened? he cries into my neck hiccupping saying, He, he just stepped out for the mail, and I didnt know what was happening until I hear a woman yell bomb by the time, I got outside she was gone, and he was covered in a scarf stopping his bleeding. Oh, goddess Shannon I dont know what I will if I lose him, he just survived me and Gracie being hurt but now its him and, and I heard its worse.
Rocking him I sniffle looking over at Caiden who is still in shock kissing Blakes cheek saying, Go to you baby love he needs you now. crying more he nods before going and picking Caiden up into his arms cradling him crying, I wipe my eyes looking down at my still sleeping baby I kiss her head and frown because it is warm. Whimpering saying, Momma needs you to be strong beauty. Turning I walk over to Emily, mom, Lena and Gene sniffling I get to Gene pulling her into me and Gracie saying, He will be ok baby. Do you know what happened. She sniffles shaking saying, We just got back into the truck and Alec was walking around to the driver side I, I didnt think anything of it but a guy in a baseball cap dropped his package but the moment I realized he was gone, and the explosion went off.
Crying more she clings to me saying, It was so strong that It blasted out all the windows in the truck and daddy too the blunt of it because it was on his side but Shan daddy, when I came to and could focus, he was curled over me Shan, he protected me. Shes crying harder now and so am with everyone else looking up at mom who is curled into Emily while still holding a sleeping Lena I wipe my eyes before feeling sick. Standing up I search for my phone frantically when I find it I call Abigail waiting her to pick up it feels like forever when she does and I sigh asking, Are all you girls ok where are?! hearing giggling in the back ground and her say, We are still at the little carnival fixing to head home why? sniffling I whimper saying, There has been two bombings one on Alec, daddy and Gene and one on Kyle. I need you girls to pack up an come here or go home to the ranch where it is safe and have Aiden and Colby double check your exit, surrounding and the vehicle before you leave.
