"That was close," Emy thought and kept walking to her room without turning back.

She walked so fast that she hardly noticed Jacob standing in her way. She bumped into him and was about to fall. Jacob caught her suddenly.

"Are you ok, Emy?" He asked, concerned.

That's when she came to her senses.

"Yeah, I am fine," Emy replied.

There was an intense silence between them. Both of them felt awkward. To make things easy, Jacob began to walk without saying another word to her.

Emy suddenly caught him by his hand.

"I am sorry," she mumbled, " I know I hurt you. I didn't know how to react back then. I -"

Jacob hugged her before Emy could complete her sentence. Emy too hugged back, sealing their broken affection.

"I understand. And I am sorry, too. I forgot about my place and crossed the line. I should have thought of your feelings." He said.

Emy parted from the hug and gazed into his eyes. She touched his face with one of her hands and disclosed,

"You did nothing wrong."

"By the way, I wanted to tell you something," Emy declared.

Jacob looked at her questioningly.

"I kissed Calista."

"You what?" Jacob was speechless.

"It's not what you think. I went there to take one of her spellbooks. But she woke up suddenly and caught me red-handed. I didn't have a choice other than this to escape from her." Emy explained.

"Well...that was a clever move. She might think that your sudden feelings for her are because of the fact that she can shapeshift into James." Jacob said.

"Yeah, that's exactly why I did it."

"But, what if things go a different way?"

"What do you mean?" Emy asked, puzzled.

"What if she gets real feelings for you?" Jacob asked.

Emy swallowed a lump in her throat.

"Do you think she will -" Emy stopped midway and gazed at Jacob to complete.

"There is a chance." He replied.

Calista was shocked and surprised by what Emy did to her. She touched her lips unbelieving. No one has kissed her other than Theon.

Emy's kiss felt different to her. Her heart skipped a beat after several years. She felt a spark. Her lips curved upwards transforming into a smile.

"Well... The kiss was good." Calista mumbled to herself, grinning.

"What was that?" Neorah questioned.

"What?" Calista asked back, pretending nothing happened there.

"Between you and Emy?" Neorah pointed out.

"I don't know what happened. She kissed me all of a sudden. I think she kind of see James through me." Calista explained.

"So?" Neorah asked, smirking.

"She might have feelings for me.", She answered.

"Do you take her for a fool?" Neorah asked sarcastically.

Calista stared at her questioningly.

"What are you trying to prove?"

"She is a clever girl. She might have an ulterior motive. She managed to take me down while she was a mere human. Don't forget that." Neorah muttered.
