"So what are these witchy stuffs?" Emy asked Calista.

"These are some herbs, some for sleep and some for pain relief." Calista answered.

"Are you gonna use these on your mother?" Emy asked.

Calista nodded in agreement.

"She needs these for her sustainance."

" How do you use these?" Emy queried.

"I'll mix these herbs in blood and will give her. After that I'll dessicate her again so that she will have a good sleep." Calista replied.

"Do you need spells for these?"

" Yes. Only then will they work."

"So that's how these are done..." Emy mumbled.

But Calista heard that with her vampiric sense of hearing.

"Why? Are you planning to use them on me?" Calista questioned with a stern look.

Emy was shocked. She was planning on doing that. And she forgot that she said that louder. Her slowed heartbeat paced a bit faster than usual. She swallowed a lump in her throat thinking that she had been caught.

"No- I just -" Emy stammered.

"Hey... Relax.. I was kidding." Calista joked.

Emy faked a laugh. But inside her built up a strong tension. Her heart beat faster than usual.

"Anyways, we have yet one thing to find out" Calista stated.

Emy eyed her curiously.

"Your ability", Calista stated, "we haven't discovered your vampiric ability yet."

That's when Emy thought about it.

"We need to go to the dark army to find that right?" Emy asked.

"There's no need for that. I'm an ancient vampire. I have seen many people's transformations. I can do that for you." Calista answered.

"How do we find that?" Emy queried.

"I'll let you do many tests, give you many tasks in order to find that."

"Okay, so when do we start?"

"How about right now?"

Emy was thrilled. She had always wished for a superpower. During her childhood, she used to watch super heroes doing special things. She always wanted to be one of them. But when she grew up, she understood the reality. That there are no superheroes and no humans can have any powers.

But little did she know about the world beyond humans. The vampires, the witches, the werewolves. The superhuman creatures with powers. She never had any idea that she will marry a werewolf, have vampire best friends and will become a vampire herself.

And now, she is one of them, which means, she can access powers. And the time has come to find out her true potential.
