"By the way, when did you get your phone from Calista?" Emy asked.

"Yesterday", he replied, "There's something you should know Emy."

She eyed him curiously to continue.

"I won't be here for some days." Jacob said.

"What?!" Emy was puzzled, "Where are you going?"

"Emy, I was with someone for a while. We kind of had a thing for eachother. She knew I am a vampire and yet she chose to let me stay with her", He paused for a second and resumed, " She is pregnant and is due in 2 weeks. She needs me cause I'm responsible for it."

Emy was shocked but she accepted the reality. Moreover it was a chance for her to get close to Calista.

" What's her name?" She asked.

"Hayley".

"You need to pack you bag" Emy said with a fake sadness in her tone.

Jacob cupped her face in his palms and gazed into her eyes.

"I'll be back soon", he placed a kiss on her forehead, "You will be safe here even in my absence. No one will hurt you in anyway."

Emy wasn't afraid of that at all. She was excited for her next plan. She held his hand and said,

"I'll miss you, Jake."

"I'll miss you too." He said.

Just then Emy felt a kick from her belly.

"Ow!" She squealed, "She kicked me."

Jacob knelt beside her and placed a kiss on her stomach. Emy wasn't comfortable with that, yet she remained silent. She wanted him to have an attachment with her child. She knew that's the only way to make him stop Calista from taking her child's life.

"Uncle Jake be back soon, kiddo." He assured, patting her belly.

For some reason, Emy's eyes welled up with tears. Even though she knew that Jacob faked his love for her child, she wanted him to love her, to be her real uncle.

And just like that, Jacob left leaving Emy all alone with Calista and Neorah. Emy felt an emptiness in her heart when she thought of his absence but she took it as a chance to unlock her vampire powers and to find ways to bring James back to life. But for that, she need one person to be out of the scene - Neorah. She wanted Calista all alone for her plans to workout.
