Chapter:25

"Mom!" Calista rushed to Neorah's side and held her from falling down. Calista glanced around and saw blood scattered everywhere.

"What happened?" she queried.

"I'm not sure. I woke up and puked gallons of blood," Neorah answered, taking a place on the bed.

Calista's eyes welled up with tears. She wept without control and hugged her mother.

"What is it, honey?" Neorah asked.

"Your countdown has started, Mom." 

" What do you mean?" Neorah was puzzled.

" Mom, nature isn't balanced. So, it's trying to take your life in order to balance it." Calista answered her.

Neorah was shocked to hear this.

"So am I gonna die?"

"Yes, if I don't desiccate you."

"What?" Neorah was shocked.

"The more time you stay here without using your available energy, the more time you will survive here." Calista stated.

"Dessiccation is hell, sweetheart." Neorah wept.

"Mom...you will undergo that only for a while," she held her by her shoulders and assured, " Just until Emy's child is born. After that you will be back to your normal self. You can even roam around the world after that"

Neorah faked a smile while tears streaming down her eyes. Calista hugged her mother tightly.

"Mom, I love you."

" Love you too, honey."

"That's a good news for my ears." Emy thought, peeping into their convo, while hiding outside the room.

Calista cleaned the mess in the room with a towel.

"Come Mom" she urged, " We don't have much time left. Let's do it now itself. Once the blood moon arrive, I will do the necessary things to keep you alive."

By the time they got up, Emy vamp sped and hid herself.

They walked to a wall in the middle of the stairs. Calista chanted a spell. A door appeared out of nowhere and opened itself.

Emy stared at the door in shock. She never knew a secret room was there. She byhearted the spell.

Calista went inside along with Neorah and Emy followed them while hiding herself from them.

Calista opened up a coffin and made Neorah sit inside.

"Be careful of Emerald." Calista warned.

"Yeah, I'm dangerous. Your daughter is gonna suffer along with you soon." Emy said to herself.

"I'll Mom." Calista replied.

Calista hugged her Mom one last time.

" Don't worry, I'll save you soon. Love you".
