"Olivia, Jack is here." I heard Beth's slightly tipsy voice call out to me.

Beth had got home not long after me and Brad had returned from the shops. She was holding a bottle of wine as she cried coming through the door, telling me the job interview was a disaster.

"Yeah two minutes." I called back out.

When I got home I went rummaging though Beth's wardrobe, I had managed to find a royal blue jumpsuit that showed my curves off well, some black wedged heels and a black clutch bag. I had also been sitting here for almost two hours painting my face with her make up and straightening my long copper hair. I looked like the old Liv so much.

I felt like all the breath was sucked out of me when I walked in to the living room and Jack was dressed up so well. His white crisp shirt was almost unbearable as I could see the outline of his muscles, his fancy black trousers and shiny shoes made me weak at the knees. He really did look perfect.

"Wow." He was first to speak.

"You look amazing." I managed to let the words escape my lips.

"Oh wow wow. Everyone looks so good. Cheers to that!" Beth called out before taking a swig from her bottle before disappearing in to her room.

"I should probably go and check on her." I frowned.

"Babe, we're already late and I want to make a really good impression on your parents." Jack looked at me with pleading eyes. I rolled my eyes and we walked out of the apartment. "I'll drive so you can have a drink."

"I feel like we can agree if we're driving anywhere together it's going to be you driving." I smiled at him as he took my hands and we tackled the stairs.

"Why?" He laughed.

"Because watching you drive is up there with the sexist thing I've ever seen." I blurted out without even thinking. Great Liv. How uncool.

"Seeing you in that outfit is the sexiest thing I've seen I think." He smirked. I blushed as we approached the car and I got in the passenger seat.

"I'm gonna text Brad and see if he can drop in and see Beth." I announced for no reason.

"Wait, you're gonna text Brad? Are you feeling okay?" Jack joked as I pulled my phone from my clutch bag.

"It's a long story and we'll save it for later." I typed out a messages to him.

"Yeah that's fine but he's working until ten so maybe best seeing if someone else can drop round even in the mean time." Jack started up the car and began driving in the direction of the restaurant I had sent him earlier.

"Oh fabulous." I said sarcastically, trying to rack my brain for a solution. I should never of left her like that.

My stomach ached with nerves as we pulled up in the car park around ten minutes late. I had never had to do this with Sid considering he grew up with me and Nick.

Jack took my hand in his as we walked across the car park. The woman at the door who worked there smiled at us as we entered. "Hi, we have a table booked with my parents-"

She cut me off, "oh amazing. They've told me all about you. Follow me." She said with a big grin on her face.

I squeezed Jack's hand for moral support. You would really think it was me meeting his parents the way I was acting. I was so nervous as the lady lead us over to the correct table.

My mum and dad stood from their seats, "Olivia. Wow." My mum gushed as she looked at me. She wrapped her arms around me in a tight hug. A very tight hug considering she saw me last night. My dad done the same and I couldn't help but notice tears in their eyes. Did someone replace my parents with these?
