I lit up the last candle I had set up in Jack's flat. The place looked amazing.
I had managed to get his mattress off his bed and through to the living room and laid it out on the floor before covering it in blankets and cosy pillows from both my flat and here. I had a big jug of orange juice with cute looking glasses that I had bought and filled up bowls with popcorn, chocolate and crisps and some healthy snacks because I knew he would appreciate them too.
I switched the fairy lights on that I bought and turned the main light off. I made sure everything was perfect after a day of set up before collapsing down on the couch. Glancing at the time, I knew I only had about ten minutes until he would be here.
I adjusted my poker straight hair down my back and looked down at my outfit. I was just wearing some black leggings, fluffy socks and a grey slouch top. I had hardly dressed up but it was movie day so it was okay.
I didn't have to wait long before he walked in to the flat and a few seconds later in to the living room. His face lit up when he seen me. "Wow, Liv. This place looks amazing." He looked around.
I blushed, "it's not much but I thought it would be cute. Do you want a drink?" I asked, pointing to the orange juice on the table.
"I am just going to quickly get a shower and get comfortable because I am all sweaty from work." He said and walked over to me. He put his bag down in the floor at my feet and leaned in and kissed my cheek. "You look beautiful." He grinned before walking out the room.
My stomach was doing flips and star jumps it felt like. He said I looked beautiful.
I went to the kitchen and took out the cocktail sausages from the fridge along with the fun card game from my shopping bag. I had bought truth or dare from the shops just in case we got bored of the films.
I fixed up the table nervously with all the snacks before climbing in under all the blankets. I took some deep breaths and tried to calm my nerves.
"Okay, what rubbish film are you putting me through first?" Jack joked as he walked back in the room.
I laughed, "your choice first."
He had dressed in just some tight grey joggers that made him look so good. Not to mention those muscles he had that were free from a shirt.
He climbed in to the mattress beside me and it hit me. Try not to freak out.
I passed him the remote and he clicked his way through Netflix. "How was your day?" I asked.
"It was busy. I'm tired from the fight last night too. My body is a little achy." He complained.
"Ugh that's a little annoying. You done well in your fight last night. So what does that mean now?" I probed as he continued to look.
He glanced at me with a smile, "I'm now in the quarter finals." He grinned from ear to ear.
"That's good isn't it? Nick has asked me to go to London this weekend and see the other place that wants to hold the finale. He's in competition with them." I rolled my eyes.
"Oh that's pretty cool. Is he coming with you?" He asked.
I shook my head, "just me myself and I."
"I could tag along with you, if you want company?" He suggested.
I studied him for a few seconds. That could be good. A little adventure away from here and the distractions of Beth and Brad and real life. "Yeah I would like that." I said honestly.
He had picked a comedy, however he only chuckled a few times during it. Me on the other hand? I was crying with laughter the entire time.
"I really don't know if it was supposed to be this funny." He laughed more at me than the film.
