After they left each other after the party, Alex and Jack have gotten closer. They decided to just forget about the lies that brought them their worst days but they'll never forget how they met.
It's officially Christmas break and they and all their friends couldn't be happier. It's not like they had anything planned; all Alex did every day was lay in bed with his phone glued to his face, talking to Jack. Sometimes they'd video chat once Jack convinces Alex enough to show his face. Other than that, they constantly talked on the phone and texted each other all night until Alex falls asleep on his phone.
One thing Alex was confused about was their status. This whole 'talking' to someone thing was new to him and he didn't know whether they're automatically boyfriends from what happened at the party. Whatever the case was, Alex was pretty comfortable with whatever they currently were. He was also perfectly fine with the fact that it's a quarter to midnight and they're still talking on the phone.
'Are you finally sleepy?' Jack questions Alex after he lets out a yawn.
'No, why do you keep asking?'
'Because you have to stay awake for my surprise.'
'It’s practically midnight, what could you possibly do to surprise me?'
'Um, come over your house?'
'Come over my what?' Alex sits up in his bed, feeling more alert now.
'Before you have a heart attack, I just wanted to come over and see you because I miss you.'
'While that's sweet and all, my parents killing you won't be so sweet. Why're you coming over so late?'
'Because I don't want them to be awake while I ravish your body.' Jack replies with the most serious tone and Alex just laughs at him. 'Stop laughing, I'm serious.'
'I know you're not so tell me the real reason.'
'Well I just thought about it when you were talking about your cute pajamas and I just had to see you in them.'
'I guess that's a logical reason.' Alex sees headlights from outside his window that brightens up his dark room more with help from the luminous moon. 'Are you outside?'
'Yeah, but I shouldn't park in front of the house that'll be too obvious.' Jack says. 'Just come open the door, I'll be there in a sec.'
'Okay.' Alex hangs up and puts his phone on his charger since its two seconds away from dying. He quietly gets up out of his bed and walks out of his room, going to the front door. On the way there, he feels like the floorboards creaked under his feet which each step that he takes, making a ten second trip to the front door feel like ten minutes. One good thing about this was that his parents' room was upstairs and his was on the main floor; he'll never complain about that again.
When he opens the front door, he sees Jack standing there with a smile on his face. Alex smiles back but then quickly whispers, 'Hurry and come in.'
Jack steps into Alex's house, locking the door behind him and greets Alex with a kiss. 'You do look cute in your pajamas, as I assumed.' He comments making Alex's cheeks turn a light shade of red but Jack thankfully doesn't notice in the dark.
'Thanks. Now that you've seen me in them, are you leaving now?'
'Do you have a lock on your door and a window that I can climb out of without getting injured?' Jack asks completely ignoring Alex's question.
'Uh, yeah. Why?'
'Then I'm staying over.'
'Jack,' Alex hisses quietly. 'You promised you'd leave tonight. I'm going to get into so much trouble; I'm surprised they haven't woken up yet.'
