Jack walked back inside the house heading towards the dining room to get another drink when he bumped into Zack.
‘Hey Zee!’
‘Hey Jay.’
‘Who’s the guy you’ve been dancing with?’
‘The concert guy that I danced with at Blink! I can’t believe I found him again.’
‘That’s awesome, where’d he go?’
‘Oh Rian know him and wanted to talk to him about something.’
‘Find any girls to talk to or dance with Merrick?’
‘Maybe,’ Zack said as he smirked.
'Haha, I’m going to go find Matty, I’ll find ya later,’ Jack said and took a drink of his beer.
Jack walked off towards the living room and he says John dancing with some girl, he just laughed and continued to look for Matty. He walked towards the back door where he last saw Matty and Rian.
Just as he was about to walk out he heard someone call his name, he turned around and saw Matty looking at him and Rian not that far behind him. He smiled and walked towards Matty, ‘I was just looking for you.’
Matty smiled at him and he pulled Jack closer, ‘Let’s dance?’
‘Sure.’
They walked into the living room, holding hands when Give my Your Hand (Best Song Ever) by The Ready Set came on and they started dancing. Matty was pressed against Jack and they were in their own little world.
Jack grabbed Matty’s hand, linking his with it and placing it on Matty’s stomach. Matty started grinding on Jack’s crotch; Jack kisses Matty’s neck and grinds right back. The song ends and they’re still grinding on each other, when My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark (Light Em Up) comes on and Jack lowers their linked fingers to the waistband of Matty’s jeans and starts singing the lyrics to the song in Matty’s ear.
‘My songs know what you did in the dark, Alex,’ Jack whispers and Matty freezes and turns around.
‘What did you just call me?’ Matty asks.
‘Um Matty, your name, is something wrong Matty?’ Jack asks looking very concerned.
‘Um I…I have to go,’ Matty says and runs away from Jack.
‘Matty! Wait!’ Jack yells and everyone is looking at him.
Zack walks up to Jack and pulls him into the hallway where only a few people are at the end of the hall waiting for the bathroom.
‘Zack let me go I need to see if Matty’s okay.’
‘Jack, I think we need to go.
‘I can’t! Something happened with Matty, and I need to find out what.’
‘Jackary Bassam! We’re leaving!’ Zack practically yells and Zack has never yelled at Jack like that or anyone for that matter.
Jack just looks at Zack shocked, ‘Okay.’
‘John is waiting outside in the truck, let’s go.’ Zack pulls Jack towards the door and out to the truck. Opening the door and getting into the backseat, Jack climbs in and Zack gets in the passenger seat. John starts the truck and they head off to Zack’s house.
No one says anything the whole way back. Jack is trying to figure out why Zack made him leave, yelled at him, and wouldn’t let him check on Matty. Did Zack know something that he didn’t? He is going to get to the bottom of this tonight!
