We need to talk.

'So, Alex, have you figured out what you want to do in your career life?' Alex looked up from his menu to look at his grandpa.

'I honestly don't know, I might go towards something musically since I'm already in that type of curriculum.'

'That's great. Have you tried to write anything like songs?'

Before the boy could get out a reply, the waiter came to their table with their drinks. When he left, Alex spoke again.

'I have a couple in the process and some thoughts. There is one song that I finished last night,' as he said that, he remembered how he was supposed to tell Jack about the now completed song. He pulled his phone from his pocket, unlocked it, and click on his messages. Their chat was the most recent one he had and it made him think of how much he talked to Jack.

I have a confession to make.

Alex's grandparents were making conversation among themselves and he sat his phone back on his lap, looking around the restaurant and waiting for Jack to reply to him. While waiting, their waiter came back to collect their orders. He was waiting for them to finish their orders, occasionally sipping on his water, when his phone vibrated against his clothed thigh.

Patrick knows already ;)

Jack!

Yes we know you like screaming my name

His eyes went bulk and he pushed the straw out of his mouth with his tongue as a cough ripped up his throat. He could feel the blush coming to his face as the waiter and his grandparents looked at him questionably. 'Oh, um...the water went down the wrong way. I'll just get the Caesar salad, buffalo wings with fries instead of onion rings, and a lemonade,' he mumbled out, watching the guy, whose name appeared to be Eric from his name tag and what he said when he introduced himself earlier, write down everything he said.

You’re an ass you know that! I am with my grandparents!

You did say you were kinky. ;)

I hate you so much right now

Aww, no you don’t

Yes, I do!

What’s your confession babe?

To be completely honest, Alex actually liked it when Jack called him babe or any other pet names. You'd think that they were in a relationship with feelings and emotion but they just had friendship which was purely platonic. If you think technically, they have had interactions with each other that were sexual but at the time, they were completely oblivious to it and they still are. (Well Jack is, or at least that's what it seems.)

I finished the song I was working on!

Will you sing it for me when we Skype again?

maybe ;)

You better cutie

what are you doing?

Other than thinking about you?

'Are you blushing over there, Alexander?' his grandma asked, making him blush more. 'What are you blushing over?'

'I, um. Nothing, Gran.'

'It has to be something! I haven't seen you blush like that since you were a munchkin.'

'I think Alex is just texting a little crush over there. Don't you think, Lilly?' Alex's grandpa entreated jokingly.

'No! Someone just posted an embarrassing picture of me, is all,' he lied in defense a little too quickly.
