It was Friday aka the day before the party Zack and Jack were going to and Zack wouldn't tell Jack where it was at. He just told Jack that 'he needed not to worry about that'.
The last bell rang for the day; Jack walked to his locker and found Zack waiting for him.
‘Hey Zee.’
‘Hey Jay, wanna go grab a burger?’
‘Yeah sure, lemme just grab my bag.’
Jack grabbed my bag and shut his locker, turning towards Zack and pulling his phone out of his pocket and looked at the time, just then a new text came through from Twitter from Alex.
Rian is being really weird. He’s making me nervous.
Jack put my phone back in my pocket when we got to Zack’s truck. Zack said he would bring him back to get his car after we got food.
They ended up at Steak N Shake because Zack was craving their milkshakes and Jack want cheese fries. They sat down by the windows like we always do.
‘So how was class?’ Zack asked him as he started eating his cheese fries.
‘Did you just ask me about school, Zack?’ Jack gave Zack a weird look.
‘Uh yeah.’
‘Why are you being weird? Did you and May do something?! Did you break something of mine? Are you secretly dating someone?!’
Zack just started laughing, ‘Cause, no, no, no.’
‘Cause isn’t an answer, Monkeyboy!’
Zack just laughed again and took a sip of his milkshake, ‘I may have held back one part of the info about the party for a reason. I know if I tell you, you will flip out.’
‘I’m flipping out now!’
‘Well the party is in…..’
‘WHERE IS IT!?’
‘Um let’s just say you’ve been wanting to here to see someone.’
Jack’s eyes went wide and he almost choked on the fry. I really shouldn’t eat when I’m excited. ‘It’s…it’s… oh my god Zack!’
‘And this is why I didn’t tell you.’
‘Zack! What if he’s there?! Hell I don’t even know what he looks like besides his hair is brown. I want to meet him Zack so bad! Why didn’t you tell me?! Zack I hate you!’
Zack just sat there laughing at him, ‘This is why I didn’t tell you.’
‘Ugh I hate you Merrick!’
‘Love you too, Barakat.’
‘Ugh.’
‘The world isn’t going to end Jack.’
‘I know but I really want to meet him.’
‘I know you do, maybe he’ll be there.’
‘I hope he is; he said Rian is taking him to a party. But how many parties do think will be happening in Cockeysville on Saturday?!’
‘Jay breathe, dammit!’
Jack took a deep breath and a drink of his milkshake. He looked at Zack. ‘Okay I’m calm, I think.’
‘Jay, if I could find Alex and have you two meet, I would have already and you would live happily ever after.’
Jack smiled at Zack. He truly was his best friend. Jack hope he can talk to Alex tonight or tomorrow before the party.
