If you're biting your lip I can't do this.

Jack grabbed his phone from his nightstand and sent Alex a quick text; Be there in about thirty minutes He was kinda nervous. This would be technically there first time they hung out together but then again they spend almost all their time talking to each other in some way.

Would he have to meet Alex’s parents or would Alex just come out when he says he’s there? He didn't want to be one of those guys who just honk their horns to tell their dates they’re there. Alex doesn't deserve that, no one does really.

Jack said goodbye to his parents and went out to his car. He got in and backed out, heading toward Alex’s. About thirty minutes later Jack was pulling down Alex’s street. He wasn’t as nervous as he was when he left his house but still nervous. He stopped outside Alex’s house and texted Alex; Hey babe I’m here. Do you want me to come to the door?

Um no it’s okay I’ll just come out.

I’ll be here when you’re ready, cutie ;)

Ten minutes later, Alex came out of the house and smiled when he saw Jack sitting in the car across the street. He quickly walked over to the car and got in.

“Hi Alex.” Jack said when Alex was buckled up.

“Hi.” Alex said softly.

“Are you ready to go?”

“Y-yeah. Let’s go.”

Jack put the car in drive and headed toward the bowling alley. When they got to the bowling alley, Jack found a close parking spot and turns off the car, turning toward Alex in his seat. “Where did you tell your parents” you were going?”

I told them I was, um hanging out with Rian and Cassadee tonight.”

“Okay, um do you wanna head inside?”

Alex nods his head and unbuckles his seatbelt. Jack turns back in his seat and unbuckles his belt too, quickly gets outs, and carefully runs over to Alex’s door, opening it for him and holding out his hand for him to take. Alex looks up at Jack and blushes, he places his hand in Jack’s and stands up out of the car. Jack shuts the door and links his hand with Alex causing him to smile.

They walk inside the building, which isn’t that busy for being a Saturday. Jack was happy about the bowling alley to be semi dead; Alex wouldn’t be as self-conscious about himself or them together.

They walk up to the shoe rental part of the alley. “What can I get you two?” A middle age man asks from behind the booth.

“I’ll have a twelve and he’ll have a…” Jack says and looks at Alex.

“E-eleven.”

“Coming right up.” He turns around and grabs the sizes they said. The man places them on the counter and looks at both of them, “here you go guys.”

“Thank you,” Jack says and grabs both pairs of shoes. “How about we go change into our shoes then go get the lane rented?”

“Oh okay that sounds good.”

They sit down and change into their bowling shoes and head towards the lane rental booth.

“Hello guys, how can I help you?” A bubbly older lady asks.

“We would like to rent a lane for bowling.”

“Do you have a preference on which lane you use?”

Jack looks at Alex and he shrugs. “No it doesn’t matter, any lane will do.”

“I will set you two guys up on lane fifteen; it’s the one in the middle with the blue bowling pins.”
