Chantel

"Open up Chan." Marcus called on the other side of the door, while I tried wiping the continuous flow of blood from my nose.

"Okay... Okay." I paused, taking my time unlocking the knob, before Marcus pushed his way inside. He grabbed my face, examining closely, while I stood completely still.

"Whatever you think is going on with me and Erica, it's not. I didn't know she was going to pull some shit like that, Chan. You okay?"

"Yes, I'm fine. It's just a nosebleed, I'll be okay. Are they still asleep?"

"Stay right here, I'll go check."

I watched as he left the restroom, before pressing the towel against my nose. It happened so quick, and it was still puzzling me. Why was Erica using, and how long had she been? I could only hope that she never let Casey see her doing any of it.

My nose had finally stopped running, just before I made my way to the bedroom. I noticed how quiet it was, before before glancing around suspiciously. "Marcus..." I called, sliding on one of the nightgowns. "Baby?"

Looking over to see if I had waken Sky or Casey, I eased out of the bedroom, and to the hallway. The suite door was locked, and his keys were missing. "Dammit, Marcus!"

Marcus

I couldn't even look at Erica the entire ride. She was high, and damn near drooling all over my passengers seat. "Wake your ass up!" I pushed her shoulder, harder than intended.

"Damn, Marcus! Are you trying to kill me?" She sat up, looking around and wiping her mouth. "Where are we?"

Ignoring her, I unlocked the doors, before she noticed the banner covering the top of the building.

"I know you don't think I'm signing into any rehab shit? I'm not a fucking junkie! You can take me home, I'll just come and get my son another day."

"Get out of my truck."

"What? Nigga, you better take me home." She mumbled, crossing her arms and resting her head against the seat.

"Get the fuck out!"

She flinched before removing her seatbelt and opening the door. "Really, Marcus? Really?"

"Shut the fuck up and get out while you're ahead."

I didn't care what happened to Erica from that point, I was just tired after all of the driving. Pulling off and leaving her in the parking lot, the choice was hers.

"Marcus! Chantel has called four times this morning. You need to get up and answer her!" My grandmother complained, snatching the sheet away from my body. Stretching and checking my watch, she tossed the phone to my chest, and I could hear Chan's heavy breathing on the other end.

"Baby, what's up?"

"Marcus, I'm ready to leave. This is my last day here, and I mean it! You need to send me a car, or I'll do it myself."

"You know better than that." I yawned, closing my eyes and imagining how sexy she was looking while upset.

"Don't think that I won't do it, Marcus! Don't test me!"

I didn't need Chan back in the city, not yet at least. I still had a lot of business I needed to handle, and she would only get in the way with all of her questions. She was stubborn as hell, and I should have known she wouldn't stay still much longer.

"I'll be back tonight."

"Marcus, don't hang-" She echoed, before I disconnected the call and rolled over.
