I didn't have anytime to sit around and mope about the almost freak accident. I had more than one reason to celebrate, because days after it happened, I received a very generous donation for my property, and I was able to finally purchase! I wanted to celebrate, but none of the girls were answering my calls, and Daniel was barely ever at the apartment.

I knew that Marcus was in a situation, but I didn't know the extent, Daniel barely told me anything. While washing dishes, I heard a few knocks at the door, before drying my hands, and walking towards the increasing sound.

I sighed when looking through the peephole, it was Daniels's brother Paul. "He isn't here!" I snatched the door open, with the chain still intact.

"Open the door, he sent me here to get something."

I could smell the liquor on his breath, as I stood on the other side, with my arms crossed. "What is it? I'll get it for you! There were a few seconds of silence, before I felt the door crashing open, with me against it.

"That's what's wrong with y'all bitches now, always tryna control some shit! I told yo ass yo open the fuckin' door!"

"Get the fuck out of my apartment!"

He stood over me, before pulling me up by the middle of my shirt. "Next time, open the fucking door!" Then abruptly dropped me, before adjusting his collar and walking off, like he was some kind off boss. I was sitting there, completely confused and scared, before rising and locking the door. I called Daniel at least twenty times and never got an answer.

I felt like I time was passing faster than ever. It had been a week, since I seen Daniel, other than short drive byes and check ups. I had even managed to plan my  grand opening, calling and texting both Chantel and Dria, but getting no response again.

When the time finally did come, I was more excited than ever. Everyone of my old co workers came, Sabrina even came. She informed me that she cut all ties with Raubi, and was looking for new talent. She even offered me an opportunity to work with a few other athletes, but I declined. Raubi had left a sour taste in my mouth, and I vowed to leave that lifestyle alone. Amongst the many people, who watched me cut my ribbon to the door, a few important faces were missing, Chantel, Dandria, even Daniel.

This was my celebration, and I refused to cry about a few missing guests. Hell, I barely realized they weren't there, by how hard everyone was partying, even my grandmother. I decided to take a seat in the corner, while watching the crowd enjoy themselves, before feeling a tap on my shoulder. "I don't remember inviting your ass!" I joked, crossing my arms.

"Shit, from the looks of it, you should be glad to have a nigga here." He took a seat across from me, extending one of his long legs and reclining against the chair.

"Glad?" I laughed a little too hard, staring him into the eyes. "Since you stopped by, why didn't you bring your woman?"

"Woman? I'm single?" He sat upward, moving his chair a little closer to mine.

"Cut it out, Jah... The same woman you brought to Rock's funeral. She doesn't seem like your average type though."

"What's my type?"

I decided to end my prying, not wanting to seem desperate for answers. "Where's your man? Cause he damn sure ain't here."

"He's on the way."

"Bullshit." He laughed, sensing me lying as I hid my smile. "Did he forget?"

"How did you even find out? I told you I don't remember inviting you. Technically, you're trespassing, because this is a private party." I was a little buzzed, which was why I was more social with Jahleel than normal.
