It started with a Raid War / Quackity x Reader Fanfic

chapter fourteen

We loaded into the car for our trip. It was only a couple hours, so we decided to split it in half. I drove the first half since I got more sleep than he did last night. He falls asleep in the passenger seat while I hum along to the music playing.

After a while he wakes up and goes on his phone. I think about our almost-kiss last night. Was it fate that the car honked really loud? Should we have ignored it and continued?

I'm dying to know what Alex thinks, but I dont want to make it awkward. We are just friends and taking that step would make us more than friends. Thats a scary thought.

"Do you want me to drive? It's almost the halfway point." Alex asks, not looking up from his phone.

"I'll drive for like another hour and then we can switch.

After a bit I start to sing along to the music. Alex laughs and sometimes sings along too.

We switch after an hour and I check twitter before reading my book.

"Did you really post a video of me singing?" I ask, laughing.

"Yes." He gives a little smile. "It was beautiful."

I roll my eyes and pull out a book.

super short filler chapter sorry! but dw i just wanted to get something out before the next chapter that im almost finished with... 

next should be be coming out in two days (spoiler we have a surprise guest for mr quackmaster lol)
