chapter fifteen

Karl swings his door open when we knock.

"Karl!"

"Quackity!"

They give each other a hug, then Karl turns to me and gives me one.

Karl, Alex and I talk in Karl's living room. Karl leads us to his guest bedroom.

"There's only one bed, so you might have to share."

"That's alright. As long as y/n can keep her hands off of me." Alex drops his backpack on the bed.

"Oh you're one to talk." I roll my eyes.

Karl doesn't seem to question it. I wonder if he just assumed or if Alex told him.

We want to do a little mess around stream tonight, so Alex goes to set it up on Karl's PC. Karl pulls me aside.

"So I have a surprise for Alex." He jumps up excitedly.

"What is it?"

"Sapnap is also going to be in the Mr. Beast video tomorrow. It was super last minute so we didn;t tell Alex. Figured it'd be a fun little surprise."

"Oh my gosh Karl that's so fun!" I jump a little too.

"I need your help scaring Alex, though."

"Scaring? I don't care what it is... I'm in."

Karl laughs. "That's what I was hoping for. We're going to order a pizza, and Sapnap is going to be our pizza delivery man. You're going to let Sapnap in, then hide him in here. I need you to somehow lead Alex out of the room so Sapnap can sneak in. Then we're just going to scare him."

"That's so extra and complicated but I love it."

Later....

I asked Karl if he had a green screen and we're messing around with it on stream. Quackity and Karl are doing some sort of bit when I get a text from Sapnap that he's here.

"PIZZA"S HERE" I yell out. "I'LL GO GET IT"

I walk downstairs and open the door. Sapnap... is not what I expected.

I've seen pictures, but I've never really interacted with him. He looks good in person.

"Hey, come on in." All the sudden my voice sounds so small for no reason. Well, maybe a reason but we're not talking about that.

"How was your trip?" I ask as he sets his bags down.

"Good. The flight from Florida felt so long though." He stretches his back.

"I'd imagine."

I lead him up the stairs to the room Karl showed me. "Karl told you the plan right?"

He nods. "In great detail. I'll be off camera and in a closet."

I smile. "Alright see you soon then.

I walk back into the room. I make sure to stand out of camera view, and I try my best to look upset.

"Alex?" I ask.

He looks up. He seems worried from my tone and use of his real name on stream. I hope it's enough for him to leave to come talk to me.

I point to the room and mouth 'I need to talk to you'.

He follows me immediately without a word to Karl. Karl gives me a smile when Alex isn't looking. I pull Alex into the room we're sleeping in.

"What's up?" He grabs my shoulders as he looks into my eyes with a furrowed brow.
