My face immediately turns bright red. That did not just happen.
I just kissed Alex.
Alex. My best friend Alex.
"I'm so sorry." I finally say.
"No no I'm sorry... I didn't mean.. That wasn't how our first-'' He cuts himself off before continuing.
Karl is bent over laughing and Sapnap is standing there with his mouth open a little.
I know I must look super embarrassed. That would be because I am super embarrassed.
We don't talk too much for the rest of the night until we get into bed.
"Soo we kissed.." I say out loud, but he doesn't respond. "I mean not that that was a "real" kiss, but it was a kiss. I mean my lips touched your lips, but not in a romantic way, you know?" He doesn't seem to be ready to answer anytime soon so I continue talking. "I'd be happy to forget about it if you want, or not. I know we never officially talked about our almost-kiss but we could if you want to."
He's still quiet.
"Please say something."
Finally he takes a deep breath and speaks,"I mean we should probably forget about it. I mean it shouldn't count as a first kiss either way.. It was barely a kiss."
I bite my lip and turn to look at him. "It shouldn't count as our first kiss? Are you saying that our real first kiss will be different?"
"Are you saying that we're going to have another first kiss for real this time?"
I hope he can't tell how red I am in the dark.
"No of course not.. we're just... we're not.." I fade off.
"Yeah it's not like we're a couple." He finishes.
"Yeah because we don't have feelings for each other right?"
I wish I hadn't turned to look at him because I can see the outline of a slightly hurt face.
"Yeah, exactly. We should forget it happened and not let it be awkward." He says.
I nod and go back to a position to sleep in.
I hope it's not awkward after what just happened.
