Chapter 8

I pulled away from him.

Cali: What the fuck! Ayden!

Ayden: Im sorry..

Things got quiet and he sat down on my bed with his head in his hands.

Cali: Do You really feel that way?

Ayden: What the hell Cali. How could you not see it?

Cali: I guess I just..

Ayden: Didn't feel the same?

Cali: Didn't realize..

It became silent again and I accompanied him on the bed.

Cali: We've known each other for so long, why are you just now letting me know this?

Ayden: Trust and believe i made it known to you, but you was so wrapped up in Alecs when he was cheating on you the whole time y'all was together.

Wait what?!

Ayden: I hated seeing you get played by him, but if i would have said anything you probably wouldnt had believed me.

Wait, can we go back to that? lets rewind to a couple seconds ago.

*Playback*

Ayden: Trust and believe i made it known to you, but you was so wrapped up in Alecs when he was cheating on you the whole time y'all was together.

*Reality*

okay so yeah, he said that. "The whole time." I know about what just happened, but the whole time?

Cali: Excuse me? Did you say the entire time?

Ayden: Yeah...

he trailed off. He seen my expression and sighed and got up to leave.

Cali: Ayden...

"You're my bestfrind and I love you.." Thats all i planned on telling him before he walked out of my room. He turned around slowly and looked at me sincere, Ive seen that look before, i started trailing off into my memories of us, always hanging out with him, just me and him. i was happiest when i was with him. Our memories were the best. Then this one memory hit me. The time when we were back home, in my room and my leg was broken so i laid on my bed, he lied down next to me and grabbed a marker, "What are you doing?" i asked him and he didnt answer he just continued. opened the marker and signed my cast, and wrote, "I love you". All the "I love you's" came flying back to me, we alwways said it and it just meant, i care for you, but now realizing, he meant what he was saying, i also realized, i felt the same way. I knew how he felt about me from that look. and it changed everything that was about to come out of my mouth. i couldn't just let him know that i loved him.. I had to let him know I was IN love with him..

Ayden: Yeah..?

Cali: You're in love with me?

Ayden: Yeah...

he said hesitantly.

Ayden: I am, so much.

He continued. I walked up to him and said very quietly looking down at my feet.

Cali: Me too..

He took my chin in his hands and brought it up to his lips.

Ayden: Are you sure about that?

I looked at him in his eyes.

Cali: Yes.

Then we kissed. I heard another voice in the doorway midkiss.

Voice: Cali Im So sor-

I looked up from Ayden.. Alecs..
