We drove for hours after that whole me crying in the car epidemic. It was afternoon now and we were almost ten minutes from home. Everyone was up yet no one talked to eachother, unless it was a food order everyone was silent. I took myslef out of my thoughts and realised Aydens hand on my thigh. Realising put me at ease, I looked at him and he was looking out the window. I uess it was just the feeling of knowing that im here and not going anywhere yet that he wanted. I let him keep it there.. I needed that feeling as much as he did. I took my headpones out and turned to Ari.

Cali: Are you coming over my house or going home.

i really wished she said she was oing to go home. I really just needed some alone time. But i know she needed someone right now. as much as i did, but being bothered could wait.

Ariella: I think im going to go home, but maybe tomorrow.

Cali: Okay, let me know.

i said as we pulled into a driveway facing a brick house. Hylinds, She turned around and waved everyone goodbye and got out. Jai pulled off faster than usually and headed to the next house. We drove a couple minutes and ended up at Alec's house. He did the same as Hylind and left the car dissapearing into his house. Next was Imani. She didn't say bye to anyone nor did we to her, Anyone could tell the friendship was dead. Next was Ariella. This time Jai parked the car and got out with her. I couldnt hear them but i knew they were yelling and Ariella was just getting mad. But by the end of it he had grabbed her duffle bag and brought it to the door for her, they hugged and she went inside. When he turned around you could see the tears in his eyes. the hurt. But he quickly wiped them away and started off to my house. Finally. I took my headphones out and looked to Ayden who was already ooking at me. It stayed silent for a little bit between us. Just searching eachothers faced forf an answer to all of this bullshit. We pulled into my driveway and Jai just sat there looking into the rearveiw mirror at us. Ayden left my eyes and got out of the car opening the oppisite door for me. i got out and he grabbed my bag out of my hand, brought it to my door and came back to me. Our eyes met again and he leaned in close to me.

Ayden: I promise no matter what I'll be right here. Whenever youre ready.

He kissed m on the cheek and got in the passenger seat of the car and they drove off.

I stood there for a minute before going inside. Trying to put my lies together. Trying to see how long i can stand talking before breaking down. See how long i can fake a smile. I sighed and started to my door, Grabbing my keys, Unlocking and opening the door. Grabbing my bag and walking inie my house. I expected someone to say "Cali, is that you?" But nothing. Nothing but complete silence. I walked around my house a ittle looking for someone but no one was home. I made my way to my bed and plopped down on it. I sat down and imiidiately heard someone knock on the door I sighed, rolled my eyes and went to answer it. By the time i got downstairs i was aggravted. I answered the door and revealed two cops. One with the nametag "Davis" and the other reading "Hallis"

Officer Hallis: Hello, Is this the Jhons residence.
Cali: Yeah..
Officer Hallas: Are you Cali Mia Giselle Jhons?
Cali: Yeah..
Officer Hallis: Your parents are Kim and George Jhons?
Cali: Yes. Whats going on?!
Officer Davis: May we come in.
Cali: I'd rather you just tell me whats going on.

He gestured towards the inside of my house and then they pushed through and sat on my couch, uninvited, shifting in their seats. I closed the door and joined them.

Cali: Can you tell me waht this is about. Did i do something wrong, are they in jail? Are my parents in jail?

I began to panic a little. Anxiety creeping in.

Officer Davis: Cali, We regret to inform you and its with a heavy heart that your parents, kim and George were in a very bad car accident this morning ..
Cali: NO!

They're not. They're not!

Officer Davis: And at 3;42 this afternoon.
Cali: NO!! Stop!

i got up and began backing away from them. They're not! They're not! I started cryiing. Tears filling my eyes.

Officer Davis: At um- uh .. 3:42 they were .. They- they were pronounced de- dead. Cali Mia, I'm so sorry..
Cali:NO! NO!

i was shaking my head still backing up. Eventully i hit a wall and slid down it. My face in my hands. Soaked with tears. They inched closer to me. Sending me their apoligies. Trying to hug me. They were. They were dead. My parents, my friends, my boyfrind. My parents. My parents. Fuck the rest. My parents were dead.
