I blocked my eyes from the sun light and I heard the door close behind me.

Ayden: See, not so bad?

I took my hands away from my eyes and looked around. It was a beautiful day outside.

Ayden: Come on...

I hesitated to follow him into the yard but eventually I did. I met him where he'd sat in the grass on my front lawn and I sat beside him. My neighbors jaw dropped when they seen me, but most of them just minded their own and didn't ask me anything or say hi.They'd just smile and walk away. I enjoyed the silence me and Ayden held.

Cali: I missed you Ayden...

He didn't say anything, he just kept looking forward.

Cali: I mean I know I put you through a lot with the whole Alecs thing and then not answering your texts or anything.

Still nothing. I looked over at him and he looked upset. Like an angry upset. I didn't like Ayden when he was angry, he got "out of control" and couldn't control himself when he was angry. But I needed him to answer me.

Cali: Ayden! I said I-

He looked at me with raised eyebrows and a smile that said "You're awful cute when you're upset, but your yelling isn't phasing me" and I froze. I lowered my voice.

Cali: I - I - I am uh - sorry...

He raised his eyebrows more and nodded his head. I looked down at my hands and his smile eventually turned into laughter as he lifted my chin up gently with his fingers.

Ayden: I missed you too Cali.

He leaned in for a kiss but stopped before my lips with both our eyes locked.

Ayden: You've had a lot of time to think about "us" since spring break, so im gonna ask you again. Are you su-

Cali: Yes.

He smiled a little and then proceeded to kiss me. I heard a voice in front of me but I didn't think of it to look up from my current situation. But i guess Ayden heard it too and broke the kiss to look up to see who It was. I looked up at him after rolling my eyes, but I could see he was transfixed on something and i followed his eyes all the way to... My grandmother. Nice Cali. I'm never going to hear the end of this. "Cali, you shouldn't be doing things like that" "Cali, you're supposed tow that until you're married" "Cali, people could see you doing that." Her facial expression was angry and she had her arms crossed at me. Ayden cleared his throat and looked down and I could see him try his best not to break into laughter. I hit his arm and he let some of his giggles go before containing himself and standing up, helping me up too. I looked at my grandmother, and her looked softened.

Grandma: Cali Mia!

She embraced me in a tight hug.

Grandma: How are you baby girl?

Cali: Better Grandma... I'm doing better now.

Grandma: Yeah, I see you have some help.

She looked over at Ayden and looked him up and down. And his faced turned red.

Grandma: Hi Ayden, how are you sweetie?

Ayden: I'm okay Grandma Jhons.

Grandma: That's good.

She turned her attention back to me.

Grandma: I'm so glad you got rid of that other boy, what was his name... uh- A.K? - Alic? -

Cali: Alecs grandma.

Grandma: Yeah, Alecs. I never liked him. But, this one-

She pointed to Ayden.

Grandma: He's a keeper, hell, I should know, I used to watch ya'll and give you guys baths.

Her voice turned into a whisper, but I could tell he could still here her.

Grandma: He got something to work with, If ya know what I mean.

She winked and my face went beet red and Ayden cleared his throat as to say "enough of this conversation." My mouth was wide open.

Cali: Grandma!

Grandma: What? Imma truth tella, yo!

And with that she walked away into my house. She's obviously on crack I joked in my head, but thought my joke was better kept to myself. I turned to Ayden who was in full blown laughter already and began to giggle mydelf.

Cali: Come on!

I yelled at him through my laughs.

Cali: Mr. working with something.

He gave me a "oh really?" look and we laughed again before walking into the house after my grandmother.

Ayden's P.O.V

Cali and her grandmother went into a separate room a little after Cali's aunt got here. By now they were all screaming at each other but i couldn't make out what about. Then Cali stormed out of the room and sat next to me on the verge of tears.

Cali: Ayden, -
