Chapter 3
After another hour together at the beach we started cleaning up. Me and Ayden went to get some dough boys at the food shack.
Ayden: So you cool now? Like your feeling better?
Cali: Yeah, fine. Why ask?
Ayden: Just wondering..
we walked a little longer in silence.
Cali: So whats up with you and Imani?
Ayden: Nothing why?
I thought about why I asked the question.
Cali: Just wondering..
Ayden: Oh..
It was a little weird. I never felt weird around Ayden. He pushed me a little.
Cali: what was that for?!
Ayden: A challenge.
Cali: I accept. Whats the challenge?
Ayden: Race you to the shack.
Cali: your on.
We started running right away. We ran for 30 seconds and were at the shack. I won.
Cali: Wheres my trophy?
Ayden: I definitely won.
Cali: Stop lying!
We laughed.
Ayden: Just say I won and we're cool, I wont be mad at you.
He smirked.
Cali: But see the thing is, you suck!
We both laughed again.
Ayden: Yeah alright!
He ran over to me, picked me up and put me over his shoulder heading towards the shack.
Cali:Put me down!
Ayden: Take it back
Cali: Never!
Ayden: Then I'm never putting you down.
I crossed my arms
Ayden: Say it!
Cali: Never!
We laughed again and he put me down.
Cali: That's what I thought.
Imani ran over to us.
Imani: Did you guys get the food or nah?
Cali: Yeah lets go.
I walked over to Imani and we walked back to the car, Ayden behind us.
Imani: Let me in first.
Cali: Why wouldn't you get in from your own side?
Imani: work.
We laughed.
Cali: Lazy!
I got into the car and closed the door after Ayden climbed in the back.
