Chapter 9

I could see hurt in his eyes. He turned and walked away. I looked at Ayden.

Cali: I'll be right back.

I said going after Alecs. I found him in the back sitting by the pool. I went and sat next to him. We held a comfortable silence for a couple minutes before I broke it.

Cali: Was it Imani the whole time?

He stayed silent confirming it.

Ayden: Cali I'm sorry -

I don't know what happened but that ticked me off. Sorry? You're not sorry you've did it too many times to be sorry.

Cali: Fuck sorry!

He looked at me confused.

Cali: if you rip a piece of paper in half is is ripped?

Alecs: yeah bu-
Cali: if you say sorry after you rip the paper, is it still ripped?
Alecs: yeah..
Cali: So what you're saying is that sorry didn't fix it?

He stayed silent.

Cali: Sorry doesn't fix it.

My mood softened and the silence fell over us again. I looked over to see him crying. I leaned over and kissed him on the cheek. Beggining to cry myself. I hugged him and he hugged back. I whispered into his neck, tears rolling down my face, wetting the shoulder on his shirt.

Cali: I love you Alecs. Goodbye.

And with that, I got up and walked away. I found myself at the door being taken into a hug by Ariella.

Ariella: Hey, Aydens still in the room waiting for you. Lift your head up princess. You're too strong for this. I need you to be strong for me.

I shook my head okay, sniffles one last time and whiped my eyes. I started back to the room and Ayden was right there where I left him scratching the back of his neck, whispering to himself. I knocked on the door and he turned around jumping. He relaxed when he seen it was me.

Ayden: What was that about?
Cali: Just fixing some things.

I walked closer to him.

Ayden: Have you been crying?
Cali: Yeah.. But-

He took me into his arms before I could finish and I broke down again. He let me cry into his chest for about 20 minutes before pulling be away from him and whiping the tears from my eyes.

Ayden: Listen Cal, I promise I won't hurt you.

I nodded my head okaya and he hugged me again. I stopped crying and sat back on the bed frame.
I noticed his shirt was soaked with tears and I started laughing at how much a mess I was. He looked down at it and shrugged then ripped it off. Pulling it over his head, then took it and whiped the remaining tears on my face off. I noticed his body while he was doing it. Ughhhh. This boy was fine. He followed my wandering eyes back to his stomach and smirked.

Ayden: Soon enough baby girl.

He took me out of my day dream and I was stunned for a a cond before comprehending what he'd said. Then I rolled my eyes.

Cali: Whatever.

He leaned over and kissed me gently.

Ayden: For real Cali. I'm in love with you. I want to be there for you. I want to take you out. Make you happy. I want to be yours.

I did want.to be with him. But now was definitely not the time. I touched his face, running my hands through his hair, playing with his ears. Then my eyes made it to his.

Ayden: Whenever you're ready.

Then he got up and walked away. But... Bae... Don't leave! I want you now! Ugh. Can we just..? One more time?!! I threw my head back only to hit it on the frame. I laughed to myself. I really was a mess. And I really did want to be with him. But now definitely wasn't the time.
