Claire's Pov:
I took some notes down during all of my classes. I made 2 more copies for the 2 people who didn't make it to school. I normally didn't do this for people I didn't know, but I wanted to know who this 'Jim' person was. I don't know what my intention was, but I couldn't help it.
"All right class, don't forget Michaelson chapters 4 and 5."
I made a mental note, and continued on with my day. The two names kept on bugging me. I couldn't focus, couldn't concentrate on anything, and got 2 questions wrong on my chemistry quiz.
Mom is going to kill me.
The next day, Jim and Toby still weren't here, and the next, and the next... They were gone for 3 days. All of a sudden, they appeared again. I ran up to them.
"You were gone for 3 days."
"But you didn't even know we existed." Toby said.
Toby looked at Jim, and signaled something to him.
"Because..."
I looked up which was probably a mistake. His electric blue eyes caught mine.
"I was wondering if you had any more flyers for the Romeo & Juliet play?"
"Yeah sure."
I dug around till I found another flyer.
"Here."
"Thanks. See you at the auditions."
"See you." I said in a daze.
They walked away, and I facepalmed, forgetting the reason I approached them in the first place.
What is my problem? Why the hell do I want to know this random stranger so bad?
The final bell rang, dismissing everyone. I ran out to Jim, who was getting on his bike ready to leave.
"Hey Claire."
"Hi." I said, panting. "Weird question. Have we met before?"
"We did go to the same middle school, and I was a freshman here at this school so, maybe?"
"Oh! I'm so sorry, I didn't notice you-"
"It's ok. Also, I was having a little trouble with Algebra. Do you think you could help me out a little?"
"Sure! We can go now if you want. My parents are out of town, so I can help you. Since my parents won't be on my tail the whole time."
He nodded, and headed to the left road.
"Um Jim? The library is that way." I said, pointing in the opposite direction.
"Ah, sorry I forgot where it was."
"We all forget things sometimes."
It took a few minutes to get to the library, but we finally made it. He threw his books on the table, and got me a chair. I don't remember exactly what happened. Just algebra, a few friendly conversations, and us agreeing to do this again tomorrow. The only thing I do remember is Jim hugging me in a weird, glowing suit of armor in the theater room. Weird.
P.s.- I'm a lil sick rn, so this is has a few problems since I felt kinda tired while writing this. Sry about the fact that it's short
