Zuko's Baby Sister

Chapter Forty-Two

     "You're definitely pregnant."

     "How far?"

   "Not very."

    "Katara...how am I going to tell him?"

    "Aang loves you and besides I'm sure he wouldn't mind. You guys have been married for two years I'm sure he agrees that it's almost time for one."

    "But he's been busy lately with a lot of city stuff."

    "Ardema. The child in your womb is a good thing."

    "Okay..."

    "Don't stress. Aang will love the baby." I nodded and stood up.

"Their waiting on us at city hall let's go." I said fixing my top. "Rajah come." She nuzzled her head against my stomach and then strutted out the door. I giggled and shook my head.

*short skip*

"Let's go for dinner." Zuko said nervously. "Everyone. It can be like old time." He said smiling. Aang nodded and scratched his head.

"Yeah, if you want to sweetie."

"Of course." I said smiling.

As we sat down at the restaurant I noticed how fidgety my brother was. I tilted my head at him then looked at Katara who was still as smiley as earlier. I noticed the ring on her finger and slammed the table.

"No freaking way! How did I not notice that earlier?!" I squealed in excitement and reached over grabbing her hand. Aang watched then smiled.

"Because we were discussing something else."

"I know but I'm usually very observant."

"Well you must have had to much on your mind." She repeated. I grinned then shot my brother a look.

"Congrats you two. Now I guess it's time for my surprise to everyone." I said. Aang looked at me confused as Zuko and Katara smiled at each other then me.

"What surprise?" Aang said I picked up his hand and placed it on my still flat stomach.

"The reason I've been sick and feeling under the weather all around is because I'm pregnant."

*short skip*

"I'm gonna be a dad." Aang said as we laid in bed that night. I giggled and looked at him.

"My love you have been saying that since I told you. With this creepy happy smile but it's bed time." He chuckled and pulled me closer. I cuddled against him and smiled.

"The next air bender could be growing inside of you." He said quietly. My eyes went up to his and I smiled softly.

"Good night my love." I whispered as my eyes closed.

"I will keep you and our baby safe no matter what." He said quietly his hand gently rubbing my stomach.

*skip*

"You feel heavy." Toph said as I walked in. I rolled my eyes and rubbed my bump.

"I'm pregnant of course I feel heavy. I heard you wanted to start a police force in Republic City."

"Yeah, since the Avatar and Protector live here and our starting a family it'd be a good idea."

"Added protection." Aang said kissing my head as he walked over to us. I smiled softly and grabbed his hand. Toph came forward and rubbed my bump.
