I took a deep breath in before turning to face Harper but what I saw made my heart clench. Her ocean blue eyes looked dull. And her slightly crooked red nose, which was the result of her getting in one ugly fight once just for Stuart.
Apparently, some boys use to tease him when we were in seventh grade for singing. And as soon as Harper heard that, she walked straight up to their table and started punching all four of those boys alone, one by one.
Unfortunately, one came up behind her and punched her, when she was too busy punching the others. Of course, Stuart and I weren't there or else we wouldn't have let anyone touch her.
Subconscious: "Oh please, you both are pussies!"
Rude!!!
Subconscious: "Ohh, I remember after getting punched, she grabbed that guy's head and slammed it against the metal door. Knocking him out cold."
*signs happily*I shuddered, just thinking about that.
Harper sniffed, making me glance up her way before I opened my arms and within seconds she came running into them.
She cried, and that rarely ever happened, so that shocked me but angered me more to see my bestfriend this way. Crying her eyes out as she hugged me.
And for whom? That Stuart little piece of shit? I swear, I'll kill him.
Brother or not."Shush, stop crying babe." I rubbed her back soothingly. And that just made her cry even harder. Making my heart clench some more.
I hugged her close to me, as I let her cry. Crying helps and especially when you never let those salty tears out. In a twisted way, it releases all those build up frustration we have inside us. And she has a lot of them.
So I let her cry. But seeing her this way made me tear up too. She's the strong one between us two. And seeing her like this, just breaks my heart.
She stopped crying, after a little while as I made her sit on my bed.
"Wanna talk about it?" I asked, softly as I wiped her tears for her.
She nodded before taking a deep breath in. "It all started when Stuart heard us that night in here. Remember, how he acted all possessive?" She asked, to which I nodded back as I remembered that night clearly. That was the day I told her about bumping into Damien.
"That night, when I went to drop him home, I parked my car right outside his place. But as I was about to open the door, he grabbed the back of my head and kissed me out of nowhere." She said, and my eyes widened at that.
Subconscious: "Wow! Even she had her first kiss? Learn something from her-"
She didn't kissed willingly bitch so shut up.
He kissed her? And why am I just hearing about this? Gosh, I'm such a bad friend.
"No, you're not a bad friend." She knew me too well. "I just never wanted to bother you-OK that's a lie. You were busy with your work and I was busy acting like everything was alright. I honestly wanted to tell you but I just didn't know from where to even start." I opened to mouth but she cuts me off almost immediately, maybe thinking I was mad at her.
"But I swear, I was going to tell you soon." Harper sniffed some more. Looking almost guilty.
I nodded, giving her a small assuring smile because I believe her and I'm not mad at her for not telling me.
