11.

Jameela's POV

Principal Steele really pulled the wool over my eyes there. I wonder who could have told her, I'm not even mad, just annoyed.

Okay, maybe a little mad. And this is kind of the worst time to separate us. Isis has been really sad and withdrawn lately and she promised to tell me why when she's ready but she  sure is taking her sweet time. She's such an emotional bean. My emotional bean.

I've been moved to dorm with someone named Aurelia Cagayan. She's pretty. We're about the same height, she a bit taller though.

"Hey new Roomie, I'm Aurelia, welcome to my humble abode!" she says flashing me a smile
"Uh, hi" I respond awkwardly, I'm not in a talking mood "Which bed is mine?" I ask, instantly regretting my question because there is no way that ill-decorated pink and purple bed is mine. "Nevermind."

She frowns. I'm usually very sociable, but not right now. I miss my baby.

"I-I'm sorry, I'm just in kind of a bad mood, I won't act like I wanna be here, but I shouldn't take it out on you" I explain and her face softens. "I'm here for you Jameela. I know you're a good person, so I'll be here to make you feel better." She said rubbing my back. I appreciate her concern, but it doesn't really help anything.

Aurelia left because she had to do something, I really don't care. I decided to call Isis and ask how she's doing. In short, same as me but she's trying to be strong. My baby girl.

What we have to ask Isis was gonna be easier if I still dormed with her, but I guess it has to be postponed until she's in a better headspace. It is a big ask, and I don't want her to feel pressured. I texted her to meet me in the gym and headed there but saw Hyunjin on my way there.

"I heard they separated you and Isis, how're you holding up" he asks engulfing me in a hug.
"Well, I'm holding up. Thing is, I have no idea who the snitch is. It couldn't have been Amy and Sarah, and practically nobody else except you and Chenle knew about us. That's the part that's making me crazy" I crack my knuckles.
"You're gonna have to give her more time" he says. I know. "You're gonna continue with the same approach?" He asks and I nod. He kisses my cheek and I try not to blush "I should get to her, she's waiting for me in the gym" I say and walk off.

Isis' POV (This is during Hyunjin and Jameela's convo)

I sit in the gym waiting for Jams. I wonder where her dorm is, she'll have to show me. I hear footsteps and get excited to see Jameela, but to my dismay, it's Aurelia. She scoffs when she sees me and I pretend not to care.

"Well, well. If it isn't the whore" she says placing a hand on her hip
"Aurelia" I sigh "I don't understand your beef with me." I detangle my earphones, preparing myself to ignore whatever the fuck else she has to say.
"You have something I want, Isis" she walks towards me
"Uh huh?? And what's tha-"

Just then, Jameela walked in and I ran straight towards her without thinking. We hugged as if we hadn't seen each other the whole day. I ask how she is while brushing some of her curly hair out of her face. She says she's okay. She's lying. I say I'm okay. I'm lying.

Aurelia is just sort of like an extra in this situation. She's making me uncomfy.

"I see you and Aurelia have met." Jams motions between me and the girl in question.
"Yeah, we have, roomie~" Aurelia sings and my eyes widen, but I change my face back to normal real quick.
"Babe~" I say with a fake smile "This is your new roommate?" I ask
"Yep" Jameela responds with that face that white people do when you make eye contact.
"I'm gonna go take a shower, I'm done with my uh.. workout." Aurelia speaks with a touch of bitterness that I'm sure Jameela didn't notice, simply because she doesn't seem to care.

I sit on a bench and Jameela sits on the floor. I massage her scalp and we say nothing. It's kind of strange, I thought she wanted to tell me something.

"Anything you want to tell me?" I ask, she stands up, stretches and sits next to me. She looks nice, basketball shorts, long socks an oversize tee and windbreaker. "Not exactly" she looks as if she's thinking "Do I only get to see your beautiful face when I have stuff to say?" I blush really hard.

"Maybe... Maybe now that we're not together all the time it'll give us time to miss each other." I'm trying to be positive.
"They say distance makes the heart grow fonder" she tries to keep a straight face but then we both burst out laughing.
"We sound like Rose and Jack from titanic" I say in between a laughing fit
"More like Rose and Jaqueline" she jokes and we laugh some more.

I live for this. I never thought I could be so in love with someone and it sucks that I won't be able to cuddle her in my bed, but having her in my life is enough.

Soon, I feel a lot better and get the motivation to teach her a few of my dance moves. She's a good dancer, but is there anything Jameela isn't good at?

We leave the gym at around 5 in the evening and hug for a really long time before going are separate ways. I go take a long hot shower and wash my hair. It's always a bad idea to wash my locs past 2pm, so it's safe to say I'm gonna sleep really uncomfortably tonight.

I'm being eaten by the thought of Aurelia and whatever the hell she wants from me.
