By the end of the day, everyone got to go home and exchanged numbers with each other for theater purposes except they don't have Buster's, Mizuki's, and Eddie's numbers. Eddie decided to stay late at night to check on a few things as he saw Buster getting ready for bed in his office. The sheep took one peek in the office with a heavy sigh.
He knocked on the office door as he opened the door.
Buster glanced up at him innocently while the sheep bit his lip.
"Come crash at my place," Eddie opened the invitation. "Just for a night."
Buster blinked while shaking his head with a sheepish smile. "Oh no, Eddie, I-I can't--"
"I wasn't asking," Eddie responded while gesturing for the koala to come with him.
Buster tilted his head as he followed the sheep out of the theater. The koala showman locked the theater up as Eddie and Buster walked down the streets.
"So...how did Meena handle knowing all the backstage stuff?" Buster asked Eddie while scratching the back of his head.
Eddie shrugged. "She seemed to be doing fine. I mean, other than constantly apologizing for almost stepping Mike and Nancy, she seemed to be doing okay."
Buster chuckled a bit. "Yeah, it's her first day. And I kind of hired her on the spot without any thought."
Eddie laughed. "Yeah, I think Mizuki's boyfriend is being a giantphobe."
"Giantphobe?"
"Yeah, people who don't like tall people," Eddie answered.
Buster nodded his head. "Right. Why do you think that?"
"Well, he's been acting more strangely around Meena and she didn't do anything wrong. The dude drives a sports car and lives in a nice house. Heck, I have rich parents but I wouldn't go as far as being a pinhead."
Buster huffed up a laugh. "He might be compensating for something."
Eddie guffawed. "Yes! Definitely. Definitely. I hope Mizuki is doing okay living with him."
Buster blushed at the thought of Mizuki as they reached Eddie's poolhouse. "Oh man, imagine if I crash at her place."
"Oh boy, her boyfriend will pierce daggers at you."
"To be honest, I'm glad it was you that invited me and not her."
"Why? Too scared of her boyfriend?"
"Well, it's not really her boyfriend that's a problem."
"It's the fact that you have a crush on her--"
Buster's face turned red instantly. "WHAT?! No! No!"
Eddie laughed out loud while they were walking towards the poolhouse. "Oh come on, man, you don't have to hide that from me."
Buster rolled his eyes as they entered the poolhouse. "No, we're not going there. Besides, I don't have a mistress. The theater is my mistress."
"Do you have any idea how much I hear that excuse?" Eddie responded with a tease.
Buster rolled his eyes more. "Sometimes you can be stubborn."
Eddie chuckled. "Only when I know I'm right about something. And I think I'm right about you and her."
