(A/N: Okay everyone here's the next chapter. Sorry, it took so long, but there was a Covid scare and a lot of my family seems to have it. I was lucky enough not to get it, but both my grandparents have it so I need to push back moving now. I'd like to thank everyone for their support thus far, and for all the suggestions and responses I got in the last chapter. Expect the next chapter to be out at the latest next Friday. The next chapter is gonna focus mostly on Carlos and his backstory so I hope you all will be looking forward to that. Also coming up with multiple chapter names has been difficult, so we'll be doing this like parts to an episode so here is part one of Preparation For Vacation. As before if you see any mistakes or plot holes feel free to let me know, and I hope you enjoy the chapter. Byeeeeee!)

Luz had been awakened by the sound of moving bodies early the next morning. She was still next to Amity and refused to get up. Instead, Luz kept her eyes closed and snuggled closer to her girlfriend. The human was too comfortable to want to wake up. Sleeping next to Amity had been the best night of sleep Luz had gotten in a long time. Most nights she would stay up until it was nearly sunrise just thinking about the Boiling Isles, her friends, and of course Amity. If it had been up to Luz then she would cuddle with Amity all day and enjoy every second of it, but Amity wouldn't allow it.

"Luz," Amity lovingly whispered. "Everyone else has already gone down for breakfast."

"Good for them," Luz mumbled as she pushed her face into Amity's chest to block the light of the room.

"Come on sleepy head," Amity laughed shaking her girlfriend a little. "We have things to do."

"One more hour," Luz sleepily said. "Please?"

Amity always found it hard to tell Luz no. Not that she couldn't when it was necessary, but looking down at her human's cute sleeping face made it impossible for Amity to scold her. Luckily for her, she didn't have to because King got up from the foot of Luz's sleeping bag and crawled over the half-asleep human. When next to Luz's head he gave a loud screech causing Amity to cover her ears. This caused Luz to jump up fully awake which was what King intended, but then realized he hadn't factored in what would happen to him still laying on top of Luz. Both Amity and Luz watched King sail into the air and out the door after the young human witch had sent him flying away on accident. After a loud crash and groan King waddled his way back to the door. He rubbed his head and steadied himself against the door frame.

"Next time," King said a little disoriented. "You can wake her up yourself."

"Sorry King!" Luz said as the little creature left.

"He's fine," Amity said putting a reassuring hand on Luz's shoulder. "The little guy's been through worse."

"Yeah," Luz said giving a smile. "I guess your right."

"Meet you at breakfast," Amity said placing a kiss on Luz's cheek while heading out of the room.

Luz stood still for a second wondering how even after all this time one kiss from that witch could still send a shock through her entire body. Shaking off the butterflies in her stomach Luz grabbed her bag to pull out today's clothes. At some point last night Eda had come into the room and taken all the wet clothes from yesterday probably to dry them. It made Luz smile thinking about how motherly Eda was now than when they first met. While her clothes from yesterday dried somewhere in the house Luz had to wear a pair of jeans with a basic purple t-shirt. She probably could have found something more interesting to wear but she had been so excited to be with everyone what she wore the next day was an afterthought.

Once dressed in the day's clothing Luz grabbed her toothbrush and went to the bathroom. Luz's daily routine went as usual with brushing her teeth, and a failed attempt to re-tame her hair. An annoyed look had appeared on the young teen's face once again at how unmanageable her hair was. Of course, she had been wearing her beanie yesterday in the rain so with it drying Luz would have to walk around with this mess on her head. Maybe she'd ask Eda how she kept her long hair looking nice all the time.
