Camila and Carlos both looked at one another with worry. Neither of them liked the thought of any of them going to a haunted house. Just a few days ago Witches still didn't exist for them, so it's not to much of a stretch that ghosts do to. Yet the other parents didn't seemed to be bothered one bit. Perhaps the belief of ghosts was different in the Boiling Isles. In the human realm however their reputation was mostly negative.

Stories of possessions, hauntings, and even death tend to be associated with the supernatural. Things like vengeful spirits, or ghastly ghosts that made people vanish never to be seen again. Camila had thought she lost Luz once, that her baby girl was gone and she might never even get a chance to have a proper funeral. She never wanted to feel that way again. Then Camila thought about how much her daughter yearned to return to the Boiling Isles. Would she actually lose her daughter for real this time? No, now was not the time to think like that as right now she needed to make her thoughts on the trip known.

"Is such a trip a good idea?" Camila asked with her face twisted with worry. "Some one might get hurt."

"It's fine mama," Luz said with her usual care free attitude which didn't ease Camila's worry. "Ghosts and Ghouls exist in the Boiling Isles and they're completely harmless."

"Well, in a way," Mr. Porter stated. "Most ghosts are used to play pranks on people."

"Indeed," Lilith nodded. "Edalyin was quite the master at convincing Ghosts to haunted places such as the Girl's Changing room at Hexside."

Each of the adult Witches laughed at the memories of the chaos Eda caused in their youth. Camila was still not convinced that she shouldn't worry, but a part of her was wondering if Eda was the best influence on her daughter. Not that she would ever try to stop Luz from seeing the woman, but she would have to say something to the witch. It was important for Luz to have a responsible role model. At least Camila knew she didn't have to worry about Luz's friends being a bad influence.

Willow was a kind girl who seemed to always do what's best for everyone. Gus was an energetic boy who wanted to do nothing but have fun and learn about humans. Amity however was someone Camila could say she was glad to be her daughter's girlfriend. She always seemed so caring about Luz and looked to be a responsible person Camila could trust. It also seemed that being friends with Luz was as beneficial to them as it is for the young human.

Luz was more mature since returning home from the demon realm. Camila didn't have to worry as much, but she still did as any mother would. Her daughter was no longer keeping her head down in story books, or in some fantasy world. Instead she was growing up and living her life to the fullest. It hurt to know that she felt more comfortable in another realm, but Camila could live with that if Luz was happy.

"So," Gus said as the laughing died. "Can we go?"

"Well..." Camila said with a long pause. "Alright, but only if it's safe."

"It will be fine," Lilith said trying to ease Camila and Carlos. "The kids have faced down worse then a ghost. Plus all us adults will be there."

"It will be like a big slumber party in an old house!" Luz said getting excited. "What are we waiting for? Let's get ready to go!"

Luz took Willow and Amity's hands and rushed back upstairs. Willow grabbed Gus as they left because Luz didn't have enough hands. Edric and Emira chuckled and followed after the teens. Already they were thinking of pranks they could play today. Despite their excitement, and the reassurance of the other adults, Camila wondered if she had just made a mistake. Carlos clearly didn't like the idea much either, but didn't make an objection. Perhaps they were just being paranoid.

While Luz and the others packed for the night Carlos did some research on the house Gus had mentioned. The story behind it was depressing to say the least.  Tommy Wellington, the last remaining member of the family died shortly after his father was put to death for murder. Apparently the grief was to much and he took his own life. Last owner of the house was one James McMann, who bought the Wellington House in the eighties. He too died, but it was ruled natural cause. The house has been for sale since then, but with no buyers the bank has left it to rot yet it seemed to be stable still. Other than that no one cares about the property, or if anyone goes there.
