(A/N: Okay here's another chapter, and I'm thinking one more part should finish up the preparation for vacation. After the next chapter, we'll begin the fun parts of our dear Witches reacting to the Human Realm. Thank you all for the support thus far, and from here on just keep expecting the next chapters by Friday unless told otherwise. Byeeeee!)

Camila had called off work for vacation time early that morning. She normally worked the night shift which convinced her that the hospital could find a replacement if she called early enough. To the single mother's surprise, the hospital actually agreed to let her take her vacation time despite it being the beginning of the week and not notifying them ahead of time. It may have also helped that she rarely ever took time off, always showed up on time, and explained that this was a needed thing for her daughter. After Luz had run away most people seemed to accept any excuse that had to do with her health.

Of course, Camila felt bad about saying those things, but it wasn't as if she was lying either. Luz needed time away from her life at school, and more time spent with her friends that she hasn't seen in two years. That being said Camila couldn't allow her daughter to fall behind in school. Sadly the world doesn't stop when you're down, and Luz's work would pile up regardless of health issues. As cruel as that is there were also no rules stating a mother couldn't help her child with the workload when needed. Camila hadn't studied some of the topics Luz was learning since her time in college, but right now Luz could use any kind of assistance to keep up with everything.

Pulling into the school Camila parked in one of the visitor's spots and got out. Students would be in their second class by now and the thought of Luz uncomfortable scuffling about her day while being tormented by her classmates made Camila's blood boil. Most kids hated going to school just because it was more like a choir, but her baby had a real reason. A reason that Camila had never noticed and kept wondering how she could call herself a mother. Quickly Camila shook those thoughts away as now was not a good time to break down. Right now she needed to be a strong, and very angry, mother who needed answers from her daughter's Principal.

After being buzzed in by the office the locked front doors opened for Camila. She hated how often this scene had played out over the years. Luz had gotten sent to the office so many times for so many dumb things. Anything that might have cause harm to another person's child like the snake incident Camila understood, but not all the times had been Luz's fault. This time however Camila was here to help her daughter, not to scold her or apologize to teachers and parents. Now it was time for her daughter to receive some apologies for the way she had been treated.

Entering the office Camila was meet by a scornful glare of the older office lady that always seemed to have a problem. Every time Camila had to come to this room she was always there giving looks of judgment. Luckily she never said anything about Luz for the teen's mom to hear or else Camila might have beaten the old woman. She had enough of people judging her daughter for the way the teen was. If the office lady had any comments to make she didn't get the chance to express them as Principal Hal emerged from his office. It wasn't by chance that he came out just in time to meet Camila without having her wait. Principal Hal had been in his office waiting for Luz's mom to arrive every since he arrived at school.

"Hello, Ms. Noceda," Principal Hal said with a professional smile. "Please come in. If anyone wants me tell them they'll need to wait."

The office lady nodded going back to typing on the computer. Camila honestly doubted the woman was actually doing work and was probably gossiping on Facebook or something. Ignoring the spiteful woman Camila joined Principal Hal in his office and sat in the same chair she always did when inside. On Hal's desk were some files, and to the corner stood a stack of books and paper she assumed was Luz's homework. How could they expect one kid to do all this work, and have time for anything else other than sleeping and eating?
