Chapter 17

Trine Rees

I woke up and saw that it was already seven in the morning. I sighed when I realized that again I need to face Mr. Annoying. Alright. I made my way to the washroom to get ready. After taking a shower, I wore a light pink bathrobe and went to the closet to get dressed. I picked my grey formal pants, white shirt with grey blazer and changed into it. I applied the nude color lipstick and tied my hair into a high ponytail. I wore my black kitten heels and my favorite white smart watch. I unplugged my mobile as it was fully charged, picked my white shoulder bag and made my way downstairs.

Wait, are you all wondering when I plugged my mobile to charge? Hehe, last night. :wink:

When I entered the living room I saw dad sipping his tea and reading the newspaper while mom was arranging the table for breakfast. I went to my dad to greet him.

"Good morning dad" I greeted him when he was intensely reading the newspaper. He looked up from the newspaper and smiled at me.

"Morning princess" he greeted back. I gave him a smile and went to my mom.

"Good morning mom" I hugged her from behind and kissed her cheek.

"Morning sweetie" she greeted me back with a smile. "I made your favorite breakfast" she told me. I saw the breakfast that she prepared and it was indeed my favorite pancakes. I thanked her with a smile and took my seat to have my breakfast.

I saw my brothers coming from upstairs and were ready to go to work. My brothers and my dad made their way to the dining table and took their seats to have breakfast. My mom brought the juice jar from the kitchen and placed it on the dining table while taking her seat to have the breakfast as well.

"Mom, what's special today that you made Rin's favorite breakfast?" Rish asked. I looked at him and smirked internally. He doesn't like pancakes. Whenever mom makes pancakes he behaves like a kid and complains.

"Nothing special. I just wanted to prepare so I prepared" she said, waving her hand as if dismissing him. He looked pissed off by her action and silently took the bread, applied butter to it and started eating it. I saw him sulking and almost burst out laughing if not for Lee signaling me to control my laughter even though he hardly stopped himself from laughing.

I had my breakfast happily and drank orange juice before excusing myself from them and bid them goodbye to get to work. I went to my car, ignited the engine and sped off to go to work.

I reached the hospital by eight thirty so I parked my car and made my way to my cabin. I entered my cabin and placed my bag at the side on my desk and went to Mr. Hamilton's cabin to know how many surgeries are there to attend today. When I reached there I saw Ms. Ozanne arranging the desk of Mr. Hamilton.

"Good morning Ms. Ozanne" I greeted her with a smile.

"Good morning Ms. Rees" she greeted me with the same smile.

"Ms. Ozanne, can I know how many surgeries are there for me to attend today?" I asked her.

"There are three surgeries Ms. Rees which you will attend" she told me after checking the schedule.

"Thank you" I replied and went to my cabin as I did not see Mr. Hamilton there. I think he is a bit late today. I'll go at nine and check on him, I thought and settled down on my seat.
